  1. Hey, if anyone does the tour be sure to post your impressions and any highlights here. Should be interesting.

I took an auto plant tour in Indiana when I was a kid, it was in South Bend--the Studebaker factory!!!

We went on the tour with the SVX 10th Anniversary Meet that we had in Lafayette, back in 2002, was really cool to see....anyone that is nearby, and into Subarus really ought to try to go.

  2. I think keeping Pheebie is the wisest move, as she will hopefully be as reliable as her twin sister "CeePee" that my daughter drives....

Do yourself a favor, asn go ahead and replace the valve cover gaskets and then the cam and crank seals as soon as you do the t-belt on her,(and maybe a new water pump while you're in there) then she should be good for quite a while:headbang:

No mattter what anyone says..the Impreza's are tough little cars...

  3. wow huck do you get a fleet discount on insurance. i have six vehicles. three soobs and three ford pick ups. thank god that only two soobs and one ford are insured. i would be in the poor house.

hehe..nope, no "fleet discount" but I do have pretty good rates, and only carry liability on everything....

As for the fleet..I am not allowed to have any more cars LOL..we have 4 already....plus 2 bikes

    Connie, I didn't list all my motorcycles....

    90 Honda VTR250

    94 Kawasaki KLX250R

    06 Martian MLX125

    07 Martian MLX150

Let me tell you...my garage is PACKED full:eek:

You and Tommy need to come down sometime with your dirtbikes....

  4. Hey Huckster, How many do you have?

    2) 89 XT6 AWD 5-Speed EG33 Powered (aka FrankenWedge)

    3) 92 SVX LS-Tour RWD 5-Speed

    4) 90 Legacy LS Wagon (4-sale)

    5) 95 Impreza AWD 5-speed Sedan

    7) 02 Forester S 5-Speed

    8) 95 SVX parts car

    9) 96 Impreza Sedan (no title yet)

But have owned around 30 Subarus in all....

They all run except the SVX parts car..since it's motor is currentely in my XT6:cool:

  5. Yeah, I quess I have to learn to not believe everything I hear:rolleyes:

The police presense helps keep the speeds down, and the traffic is pretty bad on the weekends. But judging by all the parts on the "Tree of Shame" not everyone can handle the road, regardless of thier speed.

I saw a few bikers cutting corners, these were usually the big cruisers. They obviously are not made for cornering.

I editted my first post and changed it to a average of 3 crashes a week. Totaly realistic figure there, could actually be higher than that.

definitely more than 3 crashes per week.....more than that each day on the weekend....just most are just low siding off the side of the road

  6. You're good to go then.

BTW your turn signal is on its way.

Thanks!! I'll be looking for it:grin:

Wasnt there a small difference in the front edge of the fenders where the marker light and trim go between the 2 headlight front and the 4 headlight front ends and such?

Someone else mentioned this to me, which is why I posted on here....anybody know for sure?....and if they are different, is it something that will still work?

  7. You know I hear this all the time from CT people..some of us arent into the hiking fishing thing..I used to come home from work..get my bike outta the basement ..warm it up while I put my gear on ..and go up in the woods for a hour or so...every day..I have 400 acres of trails right across the street from my house..then on weekends my friends would stop by with the trailer and we would load the bikes and quads up and off to Tower City Trail Riders for the weekend...then every other Sunday..I worked at Sleepy Hollow MX park in PA as head track official and first turn flagger. In the winter it was snow mobiling.. CT is boring for those who arent tree huggers or museum-a-holics..Thomaston Dam is a joke and the closest MX park to work at is in Walden( not worth the drive out for the little pay). When I say I need high energy stuff to do..I am talking about Xtreme sports energy. And I dont want to drive for hours just to get to any.

So move down here, and I'll show you some new trails.....

Of couse you just landed a great job up there.....
