we will eliminate all other possibility's and then assume the evap switch is bad. i had a car once that i got a universal capillary tube adj switch. taped it to the low pressure line and made my own harness to the clutch.just this car needs the fans turned on at same time. hummmm, -

i got about a 1/4? can more in it. took 20 minutes with it cycling like that. up about 50 pounds. its better but not normal. why wont it run all the time with the high/low switch jumped? if i unplug the switch it wont run. jump the harness plug and it runs and cycles. i leave it like this for a few days and see how it is on the highway and if the pressure stays the same by monday. ive done many a/c jobs and this one just doesnt feel right.im missing something unless a thermol switch is acting up or this system is very sensitive to the ammount of charge. -

yes that is the one. i used an paper clip.even if it was low or high shouldnt it run for a minute instead of 4 seconds before it cycles off.? -
i have 30 low and 200 high side on a 60 degree F day. the a/c cycles constantly. comes out cold while its on for a few seconds. i shorted the low/high side switch and it still cycles too much.shouldnt that make it run all the time? what else is telling it to cycle? i do have a ck eng light for the knock sensor i havnt bothered to change yet.

i have driven this car a few hundred miles. loud clicking on a left turn.and some shaking at speed jacked it up and looked and there are 2 almost new axles in it. so im looking around and i see a new cat and no oil leaks anyware. looking good. then i touch the axle and there are NO roll pins in either axle!!.really? im really suprised they didnt fall off the trans. i put a used axle from a 96 gt in it and the cvd is much larger in diameter on the used one. these "new" ones look like junk. are the GT axles (2.5) physically bigger ? or are these new ones chinese junk?

just got this car. the a/c turned on the clutch for a sec and then the clutch shut off. so i figured it was low on freon and had a slow leak. in a rush i put a can of freon in but it made no difference. hummmmm, found my guages and i had 100 on the low and high side engine off . gave the clutch 12 volts and low side went to 40 and high side hit 300 when i reved up the engine a little. ouch! too much freon.(maybe it wasnt low in the first place?) let enough out so i have 28 on the low and 200 on the high at 55 degrees at 2000 rpm. air is ice cold when i jump the clutch but compressor wont turn on now at all. i unplugged the high side switch which made no difference.jumped the high side switch .no difference. so whats next? is the low side switch in the compressor? relay? ideas

really a bad idea to put new lifters on a old camshaft. but with 200,000 miles i gues you have nothing to loose.

the idea behind not changing the trans oil when it hasnt been done at the right times is trans fluid is very good cleaner. and if you have lots of varnish/dirt stuck to the case the new fluid will "clean" it and all that junk may go in the valve body. but i believe what gross gary says about subarus so go for it:-)

point is the amount of force requiered to get it apart will also damage it so it a no go. only way is to have it in a press and smack the axle to loosen it. leave the nut on so when you mess up the threads you can run the nut back off and clean them up. i used to work in a machine shop and one day had a axle that wouldnt come apart.i aborted and the owner came in and said to pump up the press. i said NO! and walked out. a few minutes later we heard a huge bang. i ran back there and the hub exploded out of the press and went through a cement block wall behind the press.the hub was bent, the axle ruined, a huge hole in the wall......but he got them apart lol

does anyone understand how this buetooth works? when i left the dealer they had both our phones working. then i added an ipod which worked but then the phones stopped working even though it says in the phone menu that they are paired to the car. i tried to fix that and now the ipod wont work??????? and now nothing works but everything says paired.
