  1. how does one go about removing the knob on the side of the headrest? i want to swap coverings and need to remove the knob. thanks!
  2. ed thanks a bunch for looking for those items for me
  3. thanks again..arlington is just a bit far from here in dupont just in case, i also wouldnt mind a green passenger side electric mirror for a 93 legacy..same for the deflector and headrest
  4. thanks a bunch, appreciate it! i am also trying to find a headrest in tan, the kind that adjusts back and forth with a know, just like the ones on the gl-10's. they only made them for a year or so.
  5. anyone know if any of the legacy wgns had the rear air deflector??
  6. yep, its that time again anyway, was wondering if you would have to do an alignment again if you changed tire sizes from 16" to 14"?? am going from summer to my winter tires and i had heard that you need to have an alignment done again due to the 2" difference..yeah or neah?
  7. please do as i have opened the roof and tried to look from inside the car, outside looking in, took off the deflector to see if that would help, either i am really blind or they are covered up i thought they drained in back of the mudflap?
  8. really need to see a pic of where those ^%^& drain holes are, especially the front ones, we had a big rain last night and the carpet on the passenger side is soaked i cant be having this as we are now in our rainy season and this is my dd
  9. yeah, can always do the call thing but i work graveyards and wanted to sleep in as long as i can if there isnt a place to get this done today
  10. an upgrade is not what i am after, i have a ton of cassette tapes i have to listen to and see which ones i like, which ones i dont, and which ones are toast...since the new car had a tape deck and i spend a couple of hours a day in it i thought it would be a great opportunity to listen to a couple of tapes every day...
  11. what i just might do is get one of those cassette adapter things and run a portable cassette through the car's sound system...
  12. well, a tape done got eaten the other day, i ejected it and some tape stayed in the machine, well, i pulled hard and the tape came out but i believe some stayed cause now when i put a tape in it sounds like %$)*^&%$&^( all wavering and pitching ect...is it worth it to try and get it fixed or shall i just find another one in the pull a part?
  13. any negatives or cons with running 14" rims/tires on my wife's 96 legacy outback? was thinking of swapping my 14" rims/tires from my 93 legacy wagon for her 16" wrx rims/tires. she really only uses the car to and from the park and ride. however, dont want any kind of safety issue going on with her car if we do do the swap.
  14. kilroy no rubbing issues??? everyone else thanks so much for the comments!!
  15. finally got some pics of my new to me 93 legacy ls wagon...really like it, all the bells and whistles, only 96k also, first time i have had a green car and so far i like it, managed to move over the magnaflow muffler from the 86 wagon i sold and it sounds real nice...thinking of either 15" or 16" rims/tires, so if anyone has any cheap be sure and let me know.. will be dealing with a sunroof leak problem so it will probably be going to steve and pia as i certainly can't do it and with the rainy season coming it will be an issue
  16. i had my 93 legacy wgn done in auburn for about $200, was diamond tint which i understand is pretty good stuff, but, dont go to dark on the rear hatch like i did...cant see a &^*^*& thing when i back up..got some halogen backup lights and that helped but i think i am to mount a mini fog light next to the license plate and wire it into the reverse lights, THAT should brighten up things a bit
  17. problem is the car is my dd and i dont have a half day much less a full one to be futzing with the sunroof..especially since its suppose to rain off and on all week here in seattle..have had the car for over 3 weeks and ran it through the car wash a few times and it didnt leak...why now i wonder?
  18. but where the heck is the actual drain hole? i have stood over the car and stood up inside the car and out the roof and still cant see where the hole is...
  19. yay! got them, they were just very stubborn, in fact, looks like they were the original bulbs, car is a 1993 but only has 96k so very well could be the original ones anyway, good to go! thanks everyone!
