  2. got a free muffler the other day but the muffler guy said it wouldnt work as its center in and center out, he says it needs an offset in...agree or disagree? i know zippo about this..
  3. well, not too sure about that just right place at the right time
  4. will try pics, as far as free, i dont know, must be cause i am such a nice guy really dont know, he was getting rid of a real nice magnaflow muffler from his imprezza wgn (darn thing doesnt fit tho') and said he also had an old momo knob if i was interested...but of course!
  5. got a free momo shift knob and promptly installed it looks pretty good and all but dang!! forgot that metal+low temps=cold! its pretty cold until the heater does it thing but i do have gloves so thats fine...
  6. numb now that i would like to hear! had a pair of those on my very first car, 69 'cuda w/440 6 pack...was it loud
  7. well, i have a cat but no center resonator but have the oem muffler...while i know about the see-through thing there is a difference in sound say from a old school thrush straight through to a cherry bomb glass pack to a new ractive muffler....some sounds i like, some i dont
  8. only found one...problem is that i want to know make and model if i find one i like...they dont offer that and or dont know
  9. anyone have a sound clip of an aftermarket muffler on their 1.8 loyale/xt??
  10. looking for a remote start to buy and have installed in the seattle area..can be anywhere btwn olympia and everett
  11. see, that's the other strange thing, it runs great, good acceleration, excellent mpg at 30, starts fine cold...just not warm...
  12. replaced the fuel filter on my ea82 as it was bucking hard and hardly making it up hills...solved the problem but now its much harder to start when its warm then it use to be..coincidence or ??
  13. want to give a big thumps up to rob for the beige fender! plus i got to see the 14 black pug wheel...looks real nice i tell ya
  14. i went with disc brakes in back on my 86 gl wgn and it made a huge difference...best mod ever ...
  15. mentioned this in another thread but i took off the cross bars on my 86 wgn and gained btwn 3-6mpg...every tank...keep them stored in the back though just in case...a nice free mod
  16. ha! everyone passess me already..i do btwn 55-60 and everynight on i-5 in seattle its like everyones private indy car race, only problem is anyone can drive fast straight, throw a monkey wrench into things and thats when folks are killed...
  17. umm, i am talking about the cross bars...my rails are pop riveted on so they are pretty much non-removable...
  18. yeah, i wouldnt think the bars would make that much of a difference either, that's why i did it over a bunch of tanks of gas instead of just a couple..and again, this is based on alot of highway driving...probably isnt as drastic if its alot of city miles....
  19. back on track for a second here...decided to take off the cross bars on my 86 wagon which i put 65 miles on a day with basicly all i-5 driving...average increase over 4 tanks is 5.2 mpg increase!! that is incredible..i now average around 30 mpg on my carbed 86..put the cross bars in the car in case i need them..increase in mileage drops a bit down to 3 mpg when i leave some windows down(no a/c) but i will certainly take the 3 mpg! thought i would share this news since gas in certainly not getting cheaper and come october my commute will go to around 85 miles a day and i will need every mpg i can get
  20. is u pull it in portland then?
