Im looking at the 86 brat in FL on ebay. I was wondering what engine size is in them?? I believe it would be am 1.8L but an EA81 or an EA82??? The engine in it says its ovet 200,000. Just want to know what size I might want to find down the line. I want something original to what is in there so no crazy mods. All you throw in a turbo, add this, go with more power type guys keep it simple for me. I love when I read all that but i would want a simple swap.

I dont know about the no front bumper thing. I like it better with it on. It adds more chrome to the color of the front. At lease throw a brushguard on it if you can find one... Other than that it looks awesome. I miss my brat:-\

Its been almost a year now since I sold my gen1 brat to Skip and moved back to FL from Ohio. Im starting to get withdrawls. I need to see a gen1 brat soon. Would also like so find one for myself. Anyone in FL close to WPB have one. I would love to meet you and see your ride.

Anyone here close to West Palm Beach,FL have a Gen1 Brat? I would love to meet them and see there Brats for a little eyecandy. I seen one so far on 10th Ave and congress. It was turning left and I was turning right so I didnt follow it. It was at night and it looked to be tan or white in color and it had a camper shell on it. It was definitly a gen 1 brat. Anyone here on this board maybe?????

Hi. Some of you might remember me. I havent been posting a while since Ive moved to FL. I sold a couple of my Brats(along with half my life) in Dec of last year for real low prices, when I was still in Ohio. I sold an 82 and a 78. The 78 went to Skip. How is she by the way? I would love to buy her back If your selling Skip. Im looking soon to get a nice Gen 1 Brat any year any color(if any). I would just like it to be fairly rust free and in good running condition. My headlights, brights, dash and rear lights do not work all of a sudden. They worked fine until now. My brake and turn signals still work. Could it be my light switch???? I dont have a voltage meter to check if my wires are getting juice. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. If anyone has an extra light switch for an 82 EA81 brat please put it on hold for me becuase I might need it. Any suggestions on how I can find the problem???? Please Ill try anything.Thanks.....

I remember a while back someone on the board posted they had an instruction manual or something like that, on an EA81 A/C installation. He was going to get some out to a few other board members. Anyone remember who it was or how to get a hold of him. I still need them......... Thanks.......

Im pretty sure (95% sure)that they are the same. They swap out with no problem and they seem to be the same design and size. I have a 78 Brat and an 82 Brat. Hope this helps.....
