  1. Sticky valves,frozen rings,I would put a tablespoon of marvel mystery oil in each cylinder and let set for one week and new pcv valve.
  2. Maybe dirt holding valve open a little,when doing leak down test try tapping valve stem to blow it out.
  3. I recall Emily from CCR saying hard to order parts for because of different configurations.
  4. Exacstat from stant is the same if don't want drive 80 miles.
  5. Dully noted on all the above,I am still running my 98 and 99 foresters

  7. What kind of numbers are talking about,have you tried GEICO?
  8. Felpro head gaskits, there is a thread here on how to service the heads yourself for 2.2
  9. Also,I am running 97 2.2 with 5-speed Manuel trans could not be happier.
  10. I am thinking ignition switch,maybe pull cover off and see hot it is.
  11. I would service pcv valve system and pull timing cover on that side for oil build up.
  12. On the first pic where it is shinny and clean is can seal and dip stick tube ,I think that is the leak. Maybe from pressure build up from bad pcv valve,how old is pcv valve?
  13. Should he pull the oil pump and check for loose screws?
  14. Engine off,in neutral,wheel turned by hand, I have owned this since 90k miles.
