I think thats what I finally did as I was on a roadtrip when it failed (many times) and got tired of all the BS. The price was reasonable too as it was a Subaru Rebuild.

Easy way out is ordering it on line. The lithium grease bought you time, thats all (been there done that)

Rebuilds are not what they once were. They used to replace all the parts they could,now they just replace whats bad. So what may have been borderline at the time may have failed in short service. Also "Testing of an alt, if its not done on the car (the old fashioned way) its useless.

Just get a new one its a common issue on this gen

There are a lot of bad alt rebuilds out there. I had to go through 4 before I just bought a used one and it worked.

Im sort of shocked it understands me. My MG has affected my speech, its not pretty. Next to figure out is the remote starter. After the siding is up on the house i will (I know its against man rules) read the manual and play with it.

I need to check the oil changes next. Topping it off by a pint its much happier.

I just poked around under the hood today. 4cyl engine in a 6cyl engine space, lots of room. Low on coolant which makes me wonder how well this car was prepped. Air cleaner is clean. Oil filter looks like it has been changed in the past.

2019 Outback. Since it was a lease I imagine its never been changed. Looking at prices they range from 6.00 to 24.00 ish. Is there any brand we prefer? Ive already laughed at the febreeze ones.
