  7. was hopping any one can tell me what trans that will interchange with my 1997 subaru Legacy outback wagon it is the 4speed auto with the EJ25 base model nothing special will a Legacy with a EJ22 work? or do i need one out of a legacy outback? thanks
  8. is it a good idea to re torque the head bolts after doing new head gaskets? (after running the motor a little)
  9. i think new head gasket is the way to go the car is not werth a new engine and the EJ22 run's rill good for having 300k on it
  10. you say i can redrill the EA flywheel to fit the EJ engine crank? how hard is it to do that? and is the stock EA82 clutch strong a nuff?

  12. if any one can tell me what is the most difficult thing about puting a EJ22 in my 86 RX i am going to use the 5speed that's in the car i have a 91 legacy thats going to be my donor car what do i need to look out for win doing this swop? thank 4 any help i can get
  13. i just bot a 1986 silver black interior RX turbo 5 speed LSD diff for $400 bucks with bad motor planing on a EJ22 the car is rare but changing the motor wont loos it's value its not like a old Chevy with numbers matching vins build the hell out of it it will make it worth that much more
  14. d do know that the heater core and rad are good and flo just fine in the past year i have had to treat the head with block seal 3 time's i do no win it first started to overheat the water pump went out win my girl was driving it and i know she got it to hot after i change the pump it still would over heat so at first i put KW block seal in it let it do its thing and after that put in that stuff from bars leek that you leave in with your antifreeze is worked for about a year now so at 300k do any of you think doing a head gasket is worth it or should i get a new engine/rebuild the dam car runs grate i change the oil every 2 months and it keeps on going thank guy's
  15. my 1990 Legacy just busted the 300K and i do know the head gasket has popped like over a year ago just keep putting block sealer in it seems to do ok i am thinking about putting new gaskets in it do you think that is all i will need to do or is there any thing else i should do as well? and will i need to do head bolts at the same time? thanks

  18. i just got a 86 RX Turbo with a bad engine what would happen if i put those head's on a NA engine would it hold a turbo just fine or is it two much compression?
  19. win i put it on a lift i can turn the wheel by hand and the other one goes the same way is that LSD? it's just like my Chevy 4x4 with a locker
  20. so i get this right on a turbo the heads are what make the compression lower or is it the pistons?
