Tribeca TV Ad
Okay...I've read all this and for real..some people are reading way to much into the commercial, but to avoid the idiotic comments to follow I'm moving on.. I love the commercial. It is showing me that Subaru's marketing team is waking up and trying adverse ways to sell the product at hand <still love Mobil 1s commercial with the Imp and all the oily ponies:grin: > hopefully they continue on the right track. The Tribecca isn't as bad in person as I thought. I seem to like the black one and the mahogany one best <test drive soon to come> Some dealers are offering a 24hr. test drive for the Tribecca and other assorted rides... believe I'll take them up on it and see what this bad boy has to offer.

That's a shame because Dave isn't fond of straight either, but that's fine because I get to do it! This should be fun:brow:

Meet the Coupe Get Together.UPDATED!
You can burn the pic now Paul..thanks. I was quite camera happy too. After some people left, Dave made some desert...and as Paris Hilton would say "that's hot!" ...no really...the flame reached the top of Connie's porch... The broken handle haha well, they remedied that with some shampoo and a pack of floss (real MacGyver like) another fun thing was some people moving dropped something off their truck and it smashed all over the road...Connie's neighbor from down below...3 sheets to the wind..decided to let everyone in the neighborhood know what the problem was...he was a funny little man. Had to be there to appreciate it all. The cars...well, there is no exact wording to describe how wonderful they are! Andrew's 73 was awesome...didn't see any rust and the paint...oh my the paint was unblemished. Connie's car (and if you are still thinking on selling it...I will beat the ever living S*** out of you) she is just a dream...a few minor spots, but oh so sweet and no effort put in to starting her...she's magical! Oh well, PICs to come (hopefully soon right Dave) Had a great time let's doit again soon.

2nd Annual East Coast Subaru Show at Carlisle (Website is up!)
I talked to the guy with the XT6. Very nice gentleman, said it's the best daily driver he's owned. The paint shined, the rims were perfect. He had 1 little rustspot (if I remember correctly), but that was it. Said he got the car in the shape it was and did nothing to it, so the previous owner must have done what Benebob does to his SVX (hide it from all elements). I didn't get to sit in it, but the interior looked to be immaculate too. It was a great show...I molested Scott's STI:grin: Unfortunately, I didn't get to hang much at the tent because of schooling and racing (I'm #33 in the SCCA list<2 under Dave:drunk: >) It was great to meet Samantha (Scott's wife) and see folks from last year and met some new ones. The movie theater set was wonderful...the other car people thoughts so too because they hovered outside watching. Sunday after autoXing (which was running way behind) I was a little upset that I didn't get to say good bye to people due to the fact that I see most of them at this event only, but life goes on and I know I'll see all yall next year right? RIGHT! Since this happens once a year why not start making plans to attend next years event? It's definately an annual thing...Don't wait until the last minute..plan now and if things change at the time then fine, but why wait and risk missing out on a great time, great people and then regret not getting to go. People get pregnant, sick, new/lose jobs, move, death, etc... it's called life, but everything can be worked around. Let's make this event the biggest shindig happening on the EastCoast...show your pride.

Now that she's where she belongs it's time to get my 3door & XT6 feeling good. 3door is just a minor muffler thing (I'll install the RX kit at some point)...no biggy and I got my shopping list ready for Liberty and Shelb's $1 engine will be redone and plopped into her (Kaminari kit to be installed when she's ready for her paint job). I'm so happy I could cry (but I won't)
Well, I sold the Impreza. I wasn't quite happy with the 1.8 front wheel drive. Granted she had her moments, but I need something more my speed and I struck gold or should I say Black over Pearl. I'm the proud new momma of a 1992 SVX LS-L! She'll be coming home Friday I can't wait!!!! I am now complete. Just had to share my happiness!!!

XT Body kits
I've got the Kaminari kit. I was chatting with X35 about having it fabricated. Since it's alot to ship it to his place I'd like to get alot of response before actually getting in deep with the idea. Poll for fab If there's enough people who want it I can deliver it to him at The Dragon and get stuff going. Smiles, Melis

Noisy lifters on 2.7L XT-6
I used, MMO and seafoam, oil was Valvoline high milage 10W40 (not syn)...don't get me wrong...these are great products, but I believe it's not always the best solution. Not sure what happened to the engine. Just made a clank noise, lights faded on then faded off, got to the side of the road and then lights came on and smoke poured from the bay. When cleared enough to see somewhat there it was a big hole right there behind my alt. and the rod was laying cock-eyed in it...can't tell you what happened until total tear down, but I had the tick for a long time until she wanted to tick no more. Hocrest drove it the day before and said it was running fine. It was fine up until the big boom. Things I've been reading since my problem is that the oil pump gasket will get "sucked" in partly and that causes the air to get into it and thus the ticking and with time it eventually gets sucked in lots and I think that's what happened to me. We''ll see in time. I'm still learning. Smiles, Melis

Noisy lifters on 2.7L XT-6
My past experience is...can stuff works for so long. I used it, it helped a bit and then one day *BOOM* big hole in my block, rod flew up smacked the coolant bar and vvvvwalla..XT6 waiting for new engine. As soon as I can tear into the blown one I'll post up pics. Proper fixes always best, can stuff is only a band-aid. Oh yeah...my Mickey Mouse seal cost me $15+ chang at the dealer. I miss my baby! Smiles, Melis
