EJ22 swap, ODB-I vs OBD-II

These look great on EA series Subies! And to keep the train going down the right track: Replaced the valve cover gaskets on the XT6.

Replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, O2 sensor, knock sensor, PCV valve, Air and Fuel filters on the XT6. Still have the coolant hoses, flush the radiator, oil seals, drivers front axle, t-belt, and the A/C to do.

Strut top bar on EA series?
Those of you that like to turn corners fast in your EA82s, have any of you put a strut bar on the front and what year range of impreza did you go with? I've been searching around on here, Nasioc, RS25, and Subaruxt, but I cannot get any actual info as to which ones fit. Not to mention some say "do it" and others say "not worth it" which really confuses me. The front of the PandaWagon could use a little tightening with all my antics on the street and the increased RallyX/AutoX it's been seeing lately. Ideas? Thanks, Ted

EJ22 swap, ODB-I vs OBD-II
The OBD-II harness is separate from the body harness whereas the OBD-I is integrated with the body harness. OBD-II is also more flexible with changes such as cams and headers. I'm running OBD-I in mine, it seems work alright, but my next EJ swap will be OBD-II.

Some were showroom stock, others were full blown rally cars. I swapped to a shorter tire on the PandaWagon, my brother put snow tires on his SVX, one sister ran with max air pressure, and the other sis ran with nothing changed. That's whats great about it, anybody can participate. If it's safe to drive on the street, it can go on a rallycross.

Took the PandaWagon to a RallyCross in Tucson. Had a blast! 97 Outback misfire 3&4
subynut replied to subynut's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXNo, mine is still doing it. Just living with it. One downside: it has caused the cat to go and it is now whistling at full throttle. It now has over 230K miles and the rest of the car is showing it's age. We're having clutch and tranny troubles and the sun has destroyed the interior and it's working on the paint. So, I am pushing to get the car replaced.

That sounds like a typical EA82 clock. After baking in the sun all these years, they can get a bit flaky.

Pulled the LSD out of the XT6 and put it in the PandaWagon for more traction. Yesterday, I picked up a Legacy cruise control for the PandaWagon, and today, I worked on stripping out the unwanted wiring and labeling which wire goes where.

Goodbye to one Roo and hello to another Roo.
That's why the PandaWagon will be the daily driver and the XT6 will be the secondary driver. In theory, if I don't drive it all the time, then it should last longer. Now, if I only had a usable garage to park it in to keep it out of the Arizona sun....

Yep, the XT is the coolest car Subaru ever built. Say, I just tried to get to SubaruXT.com, but I'm getting an Internal Server Error. Any ideas why it fell off the face of the Internet?

Goodbye to one Roo and hello to another Roo.
I swapped my blue wagon for the Wedge: IMG_8692 by subynut, on Flickr I had this car a few years back - loved it to death. I even took it to WCSS 10. But...I wanted a truck and sold it to my brother. Well, as time went on, he wanted a wagon and I wanted the Wedge back so, we did the switch-a-roo. And now it's mine again! IMG_8696 by subynut, on Flickr I swapped my blue wagon for an XT6 IMG_8697 by subynut, on Flickr  It now has 52K miles on it, it needs some seals replaced, tune-up, the head liner repaired, and a few odds and ends. Other than that, it's in good shape and still drives the same as it did when I owned it before.

saved one from the crusher today...
Nice find! Always happy to see another Roo saved from the evil crusher.
