  2. after chatting with nipper tonight i have decided to bleed the system and change the drivers side outer tierod and see if that makes it better, i'll keep you all informed how it turns out
  3. why would it get better in some days and go bad again in others?
  4. hmm if the universal on the steering column is bad, where do i get a new one of those? dealer?
  5. oh yeah i forgot to mention that, the CV on the drivers side is making some noise but no ripped boot...
  6. i have done some research here and i have found a few similar threads but none that can help with my problem... just a little over a month ago, my legacy developed "sticky" steering, that is when you are driving about 10 to 50 mph and you try to turn to left or right it feels like there is a resistance almost like someone holding your steering wheel. Also after making turns the steering wheel does not go back to the original position as it should... now i have both new ball joints, both new inner tie rods, new PS pump and no leaks from the steering rack. keep in mind that the problem is intermittent and not a everyday thing... let me hear your thoughts before i start replacing the outer tie rods thanks in advance
  7. thanks guys for getting the site back up! all i can say is ahhhhhhhhhhhh, it feels comfortable being home again!!

  14. here is a link of a place that sell driveshafts for our subies http://www.wholesaleimportparts.com/Subaru_Driveshaft.php
  15. its normal, remember you have a 50/50 split there and your trans is distributing power to the rear wheels as its thinking that they are spinning with no traction, that is because you removed the driveshaft... btw sorry for hijacking the thread
  16. yes it does hang lower for some reason, while the legacy has about 1" space between the floor board and the top of the carrier ring, the outback has about 4' to 5". Maybe because of the subframe spacers?
  17. i agree that the length is the same from auto to auto, however the carrier bearing support that bolts into the vehicle is slightly different by the outback having more space (down) between the carrier and the floor board
  18. oh yes def MT to AT is different, i was talking about AT to AT Lego AT to OUtback AT
  19. how is it longer if they are essentially the same cars? i believe i am running a outback driveshaft on my 95 legacy and the only difference i've noticed is that the carrier bearing bracket on the outback is placed lower than the stock legacy.... now the length is the same or i wouldn't be able to bolt them up .... i was just wondering if there was any other differences...
  20. anybody knows what is the difference between a auto legacy driveshaft and and a auto drivershaft for an outback?
  21. 95 Lego 2.2 Auto AWD - 24city - 28hwy when i beat on her i get 22 lol thats her way of sayin "hey enough!"
