Wow sucks, but pretty luckily the engine ran! SH** happens I guess... I remember a long long time ago like 70,000km (320,000km currenty 93 legacy) ago when my pump went was pumping fluid straight to the floor Ran like that for a whole month. So much money wasted on coolant could have spent that money on just getting the damn pump!! Never experienced it seizing up or making any noise though.

I don't really notice anything when I look at the rear view mirror. I also tried another used MAF sensor(sensor looked clean), made no difference. At the beginning seemed faster, could have just been in my head though. What I do notice is sometimes I find my idle to drop very low, doesn't shut off though. If I stare at the rpm guage I can see it flucuating a bit sometimes. Other days it holds it steady and it is a bit higher idle. Going to grap a few hose claps the style that the radiator hoses use preferably. Use them on the PCV valve hose, and IAC valve hose. The pcv valve sees pretty loose IMO, the IAC hose I can pull off pretty easy to.

Ya I am going to check. It is kind of funny the way the car drives. Seems faster when I do only 1/2 throttle. Seems slower at full throttle. Especially if I am launching like if I just jump on it quick to get the power light to come on, and only go around 1/2 throttle its pretty quick. If I floor it, it seems slow, really odd. even on the highway to make a pass it seems to catch speed better at 1/2 throttle compared to full throttle. :-\

One of the front brakes could be a issue as the slider is not perfect. All the others have good sliders, and I did not find a dragging parking brake issue. There is a possibility of a bad wheel bearing though. The car DOES have 323,000km now. Exhaust converters have been replaced so hopefully there not clogged by now. What I have noticed is the exhaust is pretty loud sometimes. If a injector is indeed stuck, will it trip a engine light?

pff. I replaced my o2 sensor $100 later. Fuel economy seemed to have gotten worse. Was usually around 400-450km before the low fuel light would come on. Now I am around 300km range when the light comes on. So let me tell you what I have done and replaced. fuel filter, air filter, pcv, plugs, wires, before all this dumped some injector cleaner (could indeed be the issue and made the issue worse this is not a very good injector cleaner) , o2 sensor, um cleaned the throttle body, iac valve. Not sure what else. I think I have a vacuum leak. going to put some clamps on hoses like for the IAC, and pcv. Also going to try some good name brand injector cleaner like STP. Maybe I should run a tank of premium through the car too. Car seems to drive pretty smooth. I do have a bit of a heavy foot SOMETIMES, but cruising along I keep a steady pace and coast as much as possible. Tires are a bit wider then stock and stickier very soft with a high side wall. Been looking for a nice 96-99 LGT sedan. Nothing around here locally. Till then going to keep tinkering with this car. I will try a few things (injector cleaner and premium) and get back to you guys on if it made a big difference. Maybe wheels to if I can find some decent ones for under $200.

OK, well the relay is indeed behind the fuse box, the one on the A pillar I believe it is called. Got it out stuck my hand in between there after I removed two nuts. The contacts were very corododed and if I hit the relay manually with a screw driver, the horn sounds. So going to order a relay. Now I need to work on the day runner issue, it is more of a safety concern for me.

Thanks for your reply. Ok well the horn I guess I will have to finalize tomorrow. Just like I said, I do not hear any clicks. Also if the hand brake switch is bad, the light would be on the dash wouldn't it? If I pull the handbrake I do see the red light come on, then if i lower it light turns off. Isn't it running of the same switch?

Hello! Today was driving off and going about honking the horn to say fairwell. Then I noticed. My damn horn doesn't work! Checked all the fuses there all good. Can't really hear a click? I am thinking a bad relay. So where would I find this rellay? I read a few threads some said near the firewall (that doesn't help many relays are near the firewall hehe), another individual said something about a fuse box that needs to be removed then it is behind there? A red relay supposedly? Now my day runner issue, I doubt it is related to my horn issue but you never know i guess? Anyway, before when I would put the car in D or R w/e with the lights in the off position they would turn on the headlights, now nothing, did not really realised the issue till my dad pointed it out. Now if I turn on my headlights normally on low beam they work, as well as high beams work. All lights seem to work just fine, just wondering what is up with the day runners? I did replace the bulbs with silverstars. Not sure if that is my problem? Tomorrow I am going to try my original bulbs and see if my day runners work and run a ground to the horn mount. Just want to know where the relay is for the horn mainly! Thanks guys.

Not sure on the tire size will check tomorrow. But there is plenty of sidewall thats for sure. It;s just odd how the original suspension seemed just as stiff as the new one. I was expecting it to feel like a new vehicle. Just never figured the control arms would be so difficult to move with the sway bar not attached to the control arm!
-
Hi guys! I put some 02 wrx struts and springs on my 93 legacy. Yet it is still very rough the ride. I am really surprised the feel didn't change much. 93 struts vs 02 struts which I can not bounce. Now I did notice with the sway bar detached from the control arm and the balljoint, it does not move freely, to move it, it is pretty difficult extremely stiff. Not sure how they should move though. Is that normal? Or could this most definitely be my problem? Any other suggestions would be awesome. Thanks. PS:Car has only 14" steelies. Tire size is 195/55/R14 or something like that. Eitherway plenty of sidewall. Car: 1993 Legacy L Wagon 320,000km+.
