  1. maybe the solenoid is worn? Or there is a connection issue? maybe its sticking! Maybe dump throttle body cleaning through the intake?? Maybe vacuum leak! Many possibilities.
  2. You can even just get some disinfecting wipes and just wipe very well and in teh cracks! Then if you feel sticky buttons spray contact cleaner all over and it was evaporate!
  3. Talk about a huge difference. Should make the car look really hot! Especially if it's white! Nice with the bearing
  4. I think the new Outback looks perty hot to. You will probably enjoy the Subaru more, also consider the fact that you know how well balanced and engineered a Subaru is. Volvo is a car, but no Subaru
  5. Should be safe. mid 01 or 02 the issue was fixed.
  6. Only thing likely is a bad ground or the ECU is shot Or every sensor in the car is shot.
  7. They don't they just drive up the hill. You should know that nipper It is the most amazing vid on the internet!
  8. Sorry to hear. I just read through this thread, what a awesome project!
  9. Well there is a speed sensor in the speedometer. When you are driving is your speedometer working?? Here is a thread related to the purge solenoid. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73572&highlight=canister+purge+solenoid
  10. Ya I wouldn't jump to think it is the headgaskets. Maybe even check in with a Subaru Dealership aren't they car's warrentied till 100k??
  11. I think it is a different gear ratio. SO your going to have to swap the rear diff as well.
  12. Could have been there was no coolant maybe possible but VERY unlikely the thermostat.
  13. This is photobucket. http://photobucket.com/ Just register a account, then upload your pictures. If you have many pictures, download there app so you can send a whole bunch at once. You will see a settings option that allows you to change your image size and etc. Very simple, reliable photo backup and host!
  14. Would also help to just do pictures via photobucket. And through photo bucket you can also adjust the size.
  15. Looks like the newer STi is geared higher, because the older STi reved a hella lot faster.
  16. LOL! 205km/h XD Dude I want to move the NZ
  17. That STi is HOT, your Legacy is still hotter!
  18. When you turn left or right and your not on the gas do you notice it gets louder or only when your on the gas? If so it is most likely to be the CV. Might be the CV you got was not OEM.
  19. Any 89-2007. Except the SVX and STi. There is probably something I am forgetting. But any Legacy, Outback, Forester, Impreza rims (MINUS STi) work!
  20. No known issues with the H6 motor. No headgasket issue. I would think change the chain when it seems noisy.
  21. Yes. Another subaru lost in the game of frame or frameless
  22. Some PB blaster is another good tool. Let it sit for a hour or so. That should help.
