Your probably not bleeding the air out of the system correctly. When you refilled the radiator how did you do it? I usually do it by filling up the rad as much as I can without the motor on. Then After it stops flowing I turn it on and keep adding. Then after it was filled. I filled the resovoir tank and removed the air bleeding cap, then squezzed the tube and at the same time put the air bleeding cap back in. Never ran into a overheating issue.

That's not bad. I have a set off steel rims. Do you want them?? They are rust free. I want like $40 for all 4. They have tires on them though. But they are fine for your car. They are 14". I used them on my Legacy. I spent $600 for all season tires at Active Greenross(I think thats the place?). They were decent wheels though and in the winter seemed to work pretty good compared to my last set of all seasons.

Ya, I guess you can clean it with contact cleaner? With mine I just realigned it. If when you are driving you are getting a random power light then must be the TPS as the power light when you are driving should only come on when you floor it. Here is how you setup the TPS according to the manual. http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru_manual_scans/fsm_scans/tps_testing3.jpg I did it made my car more responsive and shift better.

Check the connectors on the transmission see if they are loose or maybe the contacts are dirty?? But the connectors are sealed so pretty unlikely. I am guessing its AWD correct?? On the back of the transmission there is a speed sensor. You can remove it and see if its dirty or rusted or something like that. There is another speed sensor behind the guage cluster which uses the speedometer to determine the input a signal as a speed sensor as well.

Thats the good thing about Subaru's there is no door frame. Never experienced a door jamming in -35C with ice all over!! Why do we need to do all this???? Here in Canada I do nothing special and use non-synthetic and the car starts just like a hot day without any knocking, and no I do not have a block heater or w/e. I just do regular maintenance. -22F is only -30C. I have driven and started in colder.........

These cars were tested in freezing temps we would never see in the real world. They would put the car in a freezer and start it and test it to see if it ran. Thats one of the other great things of the early gen Legacy's the fact that they were so reliable in all temperatures and weather conditions you would never find! Coolant is coolant should not freeze(AS LONG as you are not using straight water!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and use spec'd oil for your car. Which I believe is 5w-30 for those temps, preferably synthetic is a good idea as the viscosity of the oil is still very good even at those temperatures. Don't be worried it's a Subaru
