  1. Is this true? I picked one up at Canadian Tire and i doubt it OEM but it definitly seems smoother much smoother, before it would hesitate while taking off and make alot off exhaust noise, and vibrate. Think i should leave it? Edit: Forgot to menison when i changed it, it didnt have all those problems ,so should i just leave it?
  2. Looks, pretty cool, but i would preffer having another system i saw another guy install under the radio with a compass, outside temp, inside, etc.
  3. MAN! whats this wooden nut? TELL ME!! im very annoyed with this visor now
  4. It was a 1993 legacy wagon, and they charged me for 4 torque converters, 2 tranny(one they fixed, one used one) and the front bearing on the car, can one off them went bad, and the tcu was free, and a whole crap load off stuff was free, just the labour cost me, and he charged 1500 plus tax and labour(15percent tax). ok, thanks.
  5. OK, guys i understand it will bolt up to my tranny, im worried, that my tranny will be garbage in another 20k because when u have a turbo engine will it need a upgraded diff? tranny? stabilizer bars?brakes? drive shafts? Are all these going to be ok? I still want this car to be reliable.
  6. OK, well my non turbo 2.2l is going fairly smooth, so at this moment in time i probably wont get a EJ22T from a junkyard. But how can i test these engines if i find one, and i guess i need to change the tranny and diff right? Or will my tranny work?
  7. A wooden nut? so when i pulled out the piece that holds the visor, do i put something around it?
  8. gotcha, how long have those engines been known to last? Anything usually go wrong?
  9. Im not looking for a reply like, buy a new one, lol. I need to knwo if i can tighten the spring. I can pull out the piece that holds the visor(just did it), but how do i fix it? I understand i need to buy a new one, but is there another option?
  10. Well, power is nice. Very nice. I mean my 2.2l non turbo sure pushes my wagon good, but a turbo would be cool. Now, i saw some engines on ebay with the ecu, tcu, the engine, tranny, diff and everything. Now if i drop in these combos, are there any known isssues with a turbo engine. Now i like my 4EAT, they seem more reliable. SO it will stay 4 speed auto. Now is there anything else thats needs to be changed? Are these engines reliable? But there not EJ22 it says EJ 20, is there a 2.2 turbo?
  11. Well, it could possibly leak out off the abs pump. Is the fluid reserve full?
  12. Yes good question, could it be the engine running with no oil and seizing, hehe. Or the ecu has a governor, and cut off the engine, eh? Isnt that how the governor's work, i gota make the same video, with my 93 legacy wagon. But it takes long with a non turbo car. Maybe after i drop in my STi engine ill do the video, should only take a few second, lol.
  13. I will try the ecu, so just unplug the battery? ANd i will definitly pick up some new wires. And the ECU isnt throwing any codes, so it should be fine right?
  14. My 93 leg with a 2.2l runs great, but for some reason when i take off it like delays, only sometimes, my dad told me i need new spark plug wires(because i powerwashed the engine and now it sparkles, and my dad thinks it damaged the silicone on the wire, and its shorting out) . What u think?
  15. lol, i know, but if put soap on them the noise goes away. So i guess its the belts.
  16. aw 10,000km ago the timing belt was done, and the tensioner, and but the idler, good question, i doubt it though. But my dad told me to put soap on the belts and see if the noise go away, think its worth a shot?
  17. Mine got up to 128mph with a 4EAT 2.2l non turbo. pretty good, well atleast i feel.
  18. Its just the video that sounds weird, its super smooth, just theres a odd ticking noise. Not super loud, but it seems like the belts.
