  1. I would have thought more moisture would get in the engine, but not dirt, i mean the fuel filter should protect it from that. Seafoam is my friend guys!
  2. What should i do? Leave it? It just bothers me a little though, thats all, but like it said, i used to see it shake like the same way for........ a long time.
  3. Just wondering, how can i adjust the TCU on my 93 legacy wagon? Like adjust how the AWD acts, like 50/50 ot 40/60 or 60/40 something like that, and adjust the first gear shift point. Thanks, oh and if possible, how to reset to factory settings.
  4. Yes the threads were clean, and i put blue locktite on the threads, and the bolt is super super tight, and no it doesnt wobble when i pull on it. SHould i just leave it, could it just be something else. I have always seen it like that though, even years back, it always shook the same way. Think i should just leave it.
  5. ok, i did it, runs way better, and my rear wheels spin for some reason now :banana:. THere was black smoke at the beginning, but then it turned pure white, and i pored some in the gas tank, and now it run way better, and that vibration when taking off is gone, but off course, i can still feel a little vibration from the engine, while idling. All i did, was unplug the hose, from the pcv valve, and aim it up . I just let it idle, though. And there is 91octane fuel i the car and about 60% of seafoam can is in the gas tank. THat odd to fix her up. Thanks guys.
  6. thanks for ur reply, ok, well i understand its old, but my dad said from day 1 the door was like this, but he never care for it, now we care, lol, many years later. Its also creating wind noise, on that one door. And if it closes more tight, its will shut more smooth. Now about theses adjustments. where are they, please specify. Thanks.
  7. thanks, so just atach a tube to the pcv valve, and pour the seafoam. ok, and just let it idle right? Or tap on the pedal a bit.
  8. its a brand new pulley, and theres a new key, but before I installed the belts, there was pretty much no movement, but with the belts on, it moves a tiny tiny bit, but when I spin it with the wwrench it does move between the timing case. what should I do.
  9. ya, probably the rubber mount eh? WOuld be nice, but its kinda off like hesitation, and most likely it wont fix my idle problem, it doesnt idle, seriously and shake the car, i just know the engine is running. like from time to time is idles harder(without ac on). SO though the intake eh? How do i do that, and it if it is done through the intake do i need to change the oil or anything.
  10. lol, im not bringing it to another dam shop guy. ANd that idiot forgot to tighten my rear nuts on the wheels, lol, i could have taken off most off the bolts with my hand, stupid dumass, he could have gotten me or my mom in a accident. Now that the bolts are tightened properly, there isnt any vibration when holding a steady speed. But yes, i did get body work done. Do u have any suggestions how to fix it though, what is involved?
  11. ic, so what should i do? lol. If i put it in my oil and gas is it ok though? Will it make it idle smoother, and reduce vibration when i take off?
  12. This is pissing me off. A subaru should hold its value 999999999x better then a dam ford or GM, i see a fricken oldmobile 1994, go for 10,000. THAT IS SO DUM!!! a subaru like mine after spending 9,000CDN can only pickup maybe just maybe 7,000! and u get way more car then a old rusted crapmobile, in crappy condition. I think that sucks. SUCKS!! a subaru is a unique vehicle. Boxer engine symetrical all wheel drive, reliable, nots off sophistication. THese cars should cost way more then 30,000CDN from the dealer.
  13. Ok, well as most of u know i have fixed my harmonic pulley, but something is frustrating me, it wobbles, like it doesnt spin perfectly straight, but the bolt is tight, and the key is lined up. But without the belts on it, it spins without any like movement like <<<>><><><><><><><><. Can someone please go outside and look at there 2.2l and tell me if the harmonic pulley moves around a little( main pulley that turns powersteering, alternator, and a/c). Thanks, its not loose the bolt, but the dam thing is like it can get it to budge, but when i move it with the wrench in the bolt and it spins it slowly, its not boucing up and down, near the timing case. Is this because the rubber causes a bit of play, or flew should i say. Thank you, its just been bothering me.
  14. Ok, well, over many many many many many years since i got the car as a matter a fact, the driver door was never lined up, it sits out very far, and needs to be pulled closer to the rear door, because it rubs againt the fender. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.
  15. nope, not with mine. im trying it now, wait.................... yup it works, with the radio on. hehe.:-p
  16. really? I thought seafoam doesnt eat seals. If i run it in the oil and gas tank, is that enough?
  17. Ok, so i plan to just add some seafoam next time my tank is low, and fill up, and pour some in my oil, about 50% in the oil and fuel tank. Is that enough? Is it going to get everything in the engine nice and clean, hehe. Is there somewhere else i should inject it instead?
  18. K replaced the brakes, and i torqued the bolts to 70ft-lbs ok? i rechecked the torque after driving it stayed the same, all is good?
  19. well, things can go wrong any time, and the 1.8l engines are very bulletproof. I would be sure to change all the fluids (diffs, tranny, engine) and change the timing belt. Other than that it should be perfect, just make sure it drives, nice and smooth.
  20. You know what my car doesnt leak anymore after the last guys who fixed my tranny. Maybe they changed the seals, and i sprayed junk all over the bottom, and cleaned off the oil, and now i dont see any oil, anywhere. Is that good or what. BUt nipper made a good point, rust proofing, yes, but it might be a huge lose off oil for the engine. I get my car rust proofed yearly now so i dont care.
