  1. k thanks, now right now money it tight, i have alot of posts saying how much i have spent fixing the car, so ya. Right now im wondering if any welds broke, where should i start? Hows ur car by the way manarius? DOes it Feel really solid?
  2. YA, and it also looks like 100x better, and it prevents salt and etc from getting trapped in there.
  3. o, but do u have a wagon? I dont hear any squeks or raddles, Just the dam crack noises, but i usually only hear it when i take off. Where u think i should look? Where are these welds nip? THanks guys.
  4. Oh, ic, but its just i want a more solid feeling. Thats all. Do i need those bars that that go from the top of the strut to the other strut? IS there anything else to make the car much more solid, i really need new rear struts, what else, lower profile tires that for sure! i upgraded the profile a little bigger tires, thinking like 16" oem rims with oem size tires, and a rear sway bar. Think that odd to help. ANother thing the front brakes are pulsing and the rear brakes are screwed because my dad thinks its a good idea to sand the rotors, he thought it would remove the rust, THERE WAS NO RUST, just the out part of the rotor, who cares. Oh well, there a ticking noise now in the rear, what ever. Any one else have this issue on a 1993 Legacy L wagon? non turbo.
  5. ya its mostly the dashboard i hear, like mostly in traffic it gets annoying. It just the car doesnt feel solid. Thats all!
  6. U grease it up every so often? Any difference? Might be damaged who knows.
  7. oo, u got a specific clear coat u used? U see any bumps or anything that changed over time? lol, thanks bro.
  8. Ok, well according to my dad when the car was new, it always was so flexy, but i wana know if anyone elses, legacy wagon the 1993 feels thee exact same. WHen u take of the whole car cracks, dashboard, u turn, crack, in the roof, u stop, crack. IM REALLY annoyed now, especially when u sit in traffic, crack here crack there. My dad said it was like this from day 1 when we got the car. But i want your opinion. Like i just doesnt feel solid thats what frustrates me. WHy so much body flew? Any ideas? THanks guys.
  9. Anyone know how long this clear coat lasts? Thats my main concern, i hate adding any maintenance, i tryed brake fluid, but it was DOT 3, any difference between subaru brake fluid, and DOT 3?
  10. lol, not always, what im wondering is, are the fans running all the time? Or they come on every once and while? RUnning cooler off course is not as effecient, but ur overheating lol. But o2 sensor is a good bet lol, im local bud, but i suggest u drive out the Missasauga Subaru, i love that dealer .
  11. guess thats what hes saying, so unplug ur battery or pull the fuse for 45 mins, then put the fuse back in, turn on the car, and let it idle till it warms up then turn it off.
  12. yes there is two seafoams i beleive, one for the tranny and the engine. see http://www.seafoamsales.com/products.htm
  13. proper term is flush, if want it all out off there. But why cant we just follow the dipstick thats what i did. And if u have torque bind after ur done, try to put in the FWD fuse, that should test the electronics, if it doesnt work, u need a new solenoid, and usually a new clutch packs. Good luck!
  14. nope, i know what station i listen to, its just a OEM stereo, nothing special.
  15. Again, how do i reset the ECU, just unplug the battery? ANd for how many minutes?
  16. thanks ill give that a shot, but would filling the tank right up to the top cause that issue? I usually go way past after it clicks. So to reset the ECU how long do i unplug the battery for?
  17. why u say that? But i guess it makes sense. Think i should just get OEM brakes or get the brembos that arent slotted or drilled just vented?
  18. You probably have sticky lifters, just dump some seafoam in the gas tank, though the pcv valve, and in the oil, and with the oil, dump it in after you run through a tank of gas, then dump the seafoam in the oil, drive around for a few minutes, then get a oil change. That odd to fix it. edit: o wait ic u already put it in the oil, but u need to get a oil change, right after u put it in and u should only drive around for a few minutes i heard. Try the pcv valve, dont be scared, seems more scary to put it in the oil, and put more in the gas tank.
  19. I found these brembo drilled and slotted rotors, they seem real cheap but they dont specifie if they are 14", and do you think they are good quality? http://cgi.ebay.ca/Subaru-Impreza-Legacy-Brembo-Drill-Slot-Front-Rotors_W0QQitemZ8052065976QQihZ019QQcategoryZ33564QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. i wouldnt bother, your brakes need to be replaced when they warp, its a waste of time to turn them. They might work at the beginning but then they will warp again, much sooner.
  21. hey guys, you know how the rear rotors are not usually vented, is it possible a vented disc will work in the rear? Or do i need a new caliper? And brembo rotors are recommended here?
