  1. wow, that is dirty, i need to try seafoam on my car, my lifters get sticky every so often. But in the summer i run 10w-30 is that alright?
  2. Aw man, that sucks, especailly when people see you in a subaru and its on the side off the road. That must suck rump roast.
  3. wow, that sucks, well manufactures do get cheaper over time, and feel they should use thinner metal to lower price, and weight, there for helps fuel economy. But sorry bud, i cant believe that happened. The best of luck!
  4. Oh and another thing, make sure ur shocks are not worn out, my front shocks were changed but the rear wasnt and when i push down on the front now it will barely budge, but the rear i can push down easily, so maybe if i changed my rear shock it would be way way more stiff, and solid.
  5. Ya its body flew like he said, any sedan feels more stiff then a wagon. But u can add these bars that go from the top of the strut to the other strut. I might do it, but it will suck because i will loose the convience of folding down the seats in the rear, but maybe just adding one in the front will be enough.
  6. well when a car is 13years old and u get the dummest mechanics that screw up ur car, it cost more in the long run, but now that i bring the car to my dealer, nothing goes wrong. My car is still very very reliable just the only real repair repair was when my awd solenoid and clutch were screwed, but thats all.
  7. lol wats outrageous i have spent over 9000CDN on my subaru between wear and tear, and paintjob and rust.
  8. why does this seem so difficult? Isnt there a known amount of torque for each bolt? before all i did was make each bolt tight as i could, so. Maybe i should just do that lol.
  9. Either bent or broken rod? or a spark plug, or wires, or for my car fuel injection cleaner fixed it. Also, check the belts, and the harmonic pulley.
  10. Hello my friends, time to do the brake pads. Now i have my fancy micrometer torque wrench and would like to torque my wheel nuts to the correct amount now that have one. So what should each nut be torqued to? Thank you!
  11. boy everyone gave up on me, well it works perfectly, runs super smooth, idles super smooth, and theres no play on the pulley, the only play is on the left side off my brain. Well like i said guys, i torqued it at 140ft-lbs with gallons off loctite, im hoping its safe. But it is holding. So i guess its alright, correct? Alternator is replaced, and working, battery says 14v on my meter. And i changed the belts and its super quiet. Now i just need to install the rear brake pads and im good to go:banana::banana:.!!!! Right now when i reverse when i hit the brakes it makes a loud grinding noise(metal+metal=noise) and i got some anti squiek and everything should be good. Hopefully for another 9999999years like i said, because money is strapped, hopefully the stock will go through the roof and then i can get a paint job:)(finish the little bit of dents). Then later i might change the rear shock, seems a little bouncy in the rear. Thanks guys for all ur help, and im glad to see a thread i started at the 7th page(maybe 8th in 10seconds).
  12. Ok, now the alternator is installeed and everything is working, and everything is running perfectly smooth. But something is bothering me. When i look at the pulley spinning, its not like boucing but its not going round 100 percent without and vibration, but do u think its ok, its not shaking, its just like shaking maybe 1mm but it shouldnt matter right? Its still torqued, and it runs great. so should i say all is well? Anyone wana say it for me, all is well?
  13. Yes correct, but i really think the issue here is this 90 on a 93 wiring. and the tcu. Now do u see a power light flash when you turn the car on?
  14. OK, i bought a refurbed one for 200, and some brake bads for the rear for 70!! AW!! lol. well thats wear and tear right? This car better not go wrong now for another 99999999years and trillion kilometers. Im done with shabby mechanics.
  15. sure would be evil off the salesmen who sells it to you:lol:. Aw it wasnt funny.
  16. hmm, well my mom really loves driving this car, so the shipping would take to long, im still debating over a rebuild or new oem? Err!
  17. if there is no binding with the FWD fuse in a tranny flush will do, and ill say ur a luck bastard, i had to pay lots of cash to fix my solenoid and clutch.
  18. Im going to call subaru and ask how much a OEM one cost, probably better quality, and if i do get one from a chain store, whats a good brand?
  19. Does anyone watch Unique Whips thats a good car show, but its more super cars than ur Honda. But i consider my subaru as a super car.
