try a different disty, dont install it, just plug it in, ground the disty housing and spin it while checking the coil wire for spark, and just a silly question: you have checked if the disty rotor is spinning while cranking?

today looked for and replaced any vac leaks, re checked timing, replaced the duct from the MAF to turbo, tried another PCM(flashes erratic whike running) different coil, all made no difference, lastly as revving up i heard a snap sound, it was the EGR, unplugged it and will see how it behaves tomorrow morning, maybe its over EGRing and causing a misfire due to to much inert gases(exhaust) -

this may be a dumb Q but this car was A/T and now 5 spd, does this car have a kickdown solenoid and timer and thermoswitch?(read in manual, fuse 12) where are these components and would this affect the engine rpms and timing etc, today the ecm light was flashing erraically with no pattern at all, bad ground? doesnt want to go past 55mph and when it does a red light goes on under the speed reading(digidash)
