Hello from a newbie
Well First off Congrats on The New Sube and Welcome To the Forum, there is a lot of information around here and everyone is happy to help. Are you talking about the Inlet pipe where the Thermostat is? if so im thinking its a very easy fix just take it off and replace it, but maybe im thinking of this the wrong way and your talking about soemthing different.

Transmission Question??
Well i needed to move my sube out of the garage for a little while so i went out and started it before i put the front tires back on it, and even with it in park the front tires are spinning(the hubs) so as far as i know they shouldent spin with it in park, what does this mean? just backing up my diagnosis that the tranny is toast? or something more simple?

Spider Intake
As Far as i know only the xt4's had them, but im not totally sure if only the non turbo MPFI had them or if all of them had it on them.

no lo beams
Have you Checked the Wiring where the Plug Connects to the Bulb? and follow the wires and check the ground?, when you look at the bulbs are the filiments for the low beams actually broken or not? if so then im guessing that there is a short in your wiring and its shorting out and blowing the bulb.

How i Wish i Lived Closer To Florida :(
Everytime i Look on ebay for cheap cars the only ones i can find are on the east coast like This One, This would be like the perfect car for me to buy and swap all my good Turbo Motor Parts into and good body parts and use the D/R and everything else that i would need, sometimes i dont like living on the west side of the US :banghead: sorry had to vent.

Overheating rx
I Dont See Why One of those wouldent work, but if your like me and cheap then the other way works well too
-
Overheating rx
Im not sure if those kits work or not, ive never tried one, but here is how i learned to to it, park your car on an up hill incline and take off your radiator cap, and with the car running, let it get up to running temp, and slowly (VERY SLOWLY) add more water/coolant (your choice) untill its totally full and you cant possibly add anymore, give the radiator hose a squeeze and watch for air this should get all the air out of the system.

Overheating rx
When you first start your car do you hear any like gurgleing sounds from the passenger side under the dash? if so then you have an air pocket in your coolant. Test your Thermostat in a pot of boiling water and makesure its working. When it gets hot have you felt either of the radiator hoses? or put your hand on the radiator itself? are they also hot or are they cold, could mean that your radiator is plugged from rust or debris. Subaru Engines Tend to Tick when they get hot, shouldent hurt anything. This should give you somewhere to start

Air valve do-hickey symptoms
Yea i Second Calebz Mine ran like crap at first and i pulled the Coolant temp sensor and cleaned it out and sparyed it with some WD40 so it would get a good connection, made a world of difference. give it a try you aint got anything to lose

Syncro and CV replacement?
im not sure on the price of the syncros but if you goto a junk yard you can prolly get the CV's for $15-30 each (at least around here) if you buy them new(reman) expect to pay $75-150+core each the choice is totally up to you, these are prices that i found when looking for my car, so yours might be slightly different, but that give you an idea

Compressor speed sensor: 91 loyale
Yea its actually a good feature too, just be careful when tightening the bolts that hold it down, they like to strip quite easily, i still need to find a way to keep mine secured

SPFI or MPFI?
ok Maybe thats not an easy way to tell, i just went out to the garage and looked at mine and i can't even see the injectors on mine, so hopefully someone else will pipe in and help you out, sorry
-
SPFI or MPFI?
Look for injectors, SPFI will have one injector MPFI will have 4 or more i think, their might be an easier way to tell, but at least a free bump BUMP!

light question
The 7000k or the 4800k number relates to the Kelvin Temperature Chart which indicates the color of the light emitted from the bulb, below is a chart that will give you a general idea of the color based on the "k" number. Hope This Helps out.

Water running/Gurgeling sound from under dash!!
My Car did the Same Thing When i Had an Airbubble in the coolant, park your car on a slight up hill and run it till its warm with the radiator cap off, squeeze the upper radiator hose and the air should work its way out, this is how i do it, maybe someone else around here has another way
