according to cars101.com it's got the outside temp gauge, and I would assume it's next to the odometer since that's where it was on my 2000 legacy... as opposed to my 2000 forester which has it on the navigation clamshell in the center of the dash... --Spiffy

same here, only it was for big american trucks, or at least that's what they listed on the bottle... I figured my diff was a lot smaller and used half the bottle... I suppose the best way to find out is to call subaru and find out how many ounces are in their bottle of friction modifier... --Spiffy

it's probably a lot like this... http://www.parts.com/schematics/7/7525420.gif so there would be a bumper core support that attaches to the car, but most of the metal on it is at the front... then there's foam around it and a bumper cover over the top of it... not sure how you could get through all that foam and get a good angle on the metal... seems like you would have to mount them to the front of the bumper... but you might be able to make some slots in the top and bolt some tabs to the core support... or take off the foam and cover and mount a nice piece of hardwood to the core... has anybody ever used those cheap portable tire changers like this one? looks like it works with up to 16" wheels... and would be cheaper than having a shop do it if you had more than a few tires to take on/off... --Spiffy

with a 27 year old subaru you never know what it has until you actually see it... somebody could have swapped a lot of stuff on/off of it... it could be a DL with an ea81 and d/r sporting ea82 wagon wheels... you just never know... oh, and for the record, quad headlights are ugly... c(: --Spiffy

I'm having the same issue, but maybe not as bad... I made the mistake of looking under my car and found some empty space that shouldn't be there... rust cracks in the floor pan on one side, and a rocker that's been bashed and is rusting... can you weld upside down with those cheap Harbor Freight welders? maybe I need to get one and start teaching myself to weld, without catching the carpet on fire... that would be ideal, if it weren't so sticky that you can't get it out... that's the issue I have... I have to squirt stuff in there to get it loose enough to remove so that it can be properly cleaned... --Spiffy

I agree, it sounds like the ignition switch... I have this problem in my forester, and it's a pretty common problem... I can jiggle the key back and forward to get the radio, compass, wipers, etc to work again... I don't have to turn it all the way off and start it again... eventually I'll have to replace it... but I don't want to have a different key... --Spiffy

sounds like the usual spilled beverage issue... isopropyl alcohol will help free things up... warm water also works but doesn't evaporate as well... I'm still trying to get my vents and cup holder to work smoothly on my forester... --Spiffy

I really like loveland... I spent time there as a kid because my mom lived there for a while... I could spend all day at various places around the lake... haven't been there in about a decade though... then there's greely, with its numbers streets both ways, talk about confusing... --Spiffy

I've only been on the sand dunes once, in a rwd quad, and it sunk into the deep stuff so quick I'd be afraid that a car without paddle tires would just sink right in... I mean, I know the ea81 isn't the heaviest thing, but I'd still be concerned about sinking it to the rails... --Spiffy

that'll buff right out... you might miss the shorter wheelbase of the hatch... granted, passengers are easier to load into a 4-door, but if you're gonna wheels it then you want to be able to get to your cargo... --Spiffy
