  1. Welcome to the USMB! That looks like a pretty bad rump roast Forester
  2. I think it's cool, however I'm not sure how much more time I can devote to events and such.
  3. Hi JP and welcome to the USMB! Looks like you're having fun in the mud
  4. Welcome to the USMB. You will likely need a smart phone with data plan of some kind. Or you may be able to use a tablet PC/ipad with bluetooth connection. I guess it depends on whether the infotainment system needs a particular app to load apps to it.
  5. Hi Linda and welcome to the USMB. I moved this post to the new gen forum. Have you replaced the thermostat at all, and if you replaced it, did you replace it with a Subaru thermostat? Subarus are very finicky about non-Subaru thermostats.
  6. It almost looks like a freeze plug. Does it screw back in? I'm going to move your thread to the old gen forum. I'm sure you'll get some more feedback there.
  7. roysegev, I split your post and made it a new thread for others to hopefully provide some feedback on.
  8. Welcome to the USMB! Glad to hear you're enjoying your Outback.
  9. Welcome to the USMB. I would recommend posting something in the Subaru Stuff Wanted forum and the historic subie marketplace forum. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/forum/59-historic-subaru-marketplace-for-50s-70s-parts-only-all-others-use-other-marketplaces/ http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/forum/25-subaru-stuff-wanted/
  10. Dan, I'm going to move your thread to the 80's forum where it should get some more views.
  11. Welcome to the USMB. You would be better off trying to get a turbo legacy and swapping that into your Legacy. The first gen legacy (90-94) has an OBD1 ECU and the newer STi's have OBD2, which require a bit more sensors, more wiring, etc. I'm sure it can be done with a lot of time, money, and patience, but it's not a swap I would recommend trying. Trying to find something of the similar year range to swap in would be my recommendation. Either look for a first gen Legacy or an overseas EJ20G motor
  12. Welcome to the USMB. The speedo cable grease can get gummed up and make noise. You can try pulling just the cable out to clean and lubricate it with some light grease. I have a lot of manuals and other stuff for the first gen Legacy on my server: www.main.experiencetherave.com/subaru_manual_scans I'd also encourage you to check out the Legacycentral BBS as well as the USMB. The BBS is geared specifically for the first gen Legacy. www.bbs.legacycentral.org
  13. Welcome to the USMB. Hopefully we can help with your hesitation question
  14. Welcome to the USMB. Can you post some pictures of the crankshaft. I'm going to move your thread to the new gen forum to get some additional help since it's more technical related.
  15. Welcome to the USMB. I would suggest trying to search some of the local wrecking yards for a front clip. I don't see too many people selling front clips on the forums.
  16. Hopefully the axles will be the last of any major repairs for a while.
  17. Welcome to the USMB. There shouldn't be any issues with them being connected. With them connected the ECU just won't likely retain the long term fuel trims. With them disconnected you may see an increase in fuel economy.
  18. Welcome, You may want to post something in the New Gen forum. I'm pretty sure there's something out there, but don't know the details myself.
  19. Welcome to the USMB. What year and model is this for? To answer your question, no I don't believe a crack in that valve would cause a CEL.
  20. Welcome to the USMB. Can you please let us know what year and model you have. Thanks
