  1. Took some pictures this weekend of the car, and thought I'd share. Enjoy. http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru/images/legacy1/
  2. It should be....whether they'll give you any grief or not is yet to be seen. Here's a pic of the location of the filter
  3. Did you purchase something from him, or just looking for him.
  4. The housing should be metal, not plastic. Just follow the lower radiator hose to the engine, and remove that housing that the hose connects to. You'll see the thermostat.
  5. You might have had mud or dirt stuck in the inside well of the wheel.
  6. I would not recommend running the FWD fuse for extended periods of time. The driveshaft is still going to spin, even with the FWD fuse installed, since the rear axles & diff is spinning. I'd also recommend checking out www.bbs.legacycentral.org
  7. You also may have moisture in the system that has frozen. There is a check valve in the brake booster line going to the manifold, that valve may be sticking or freezing.
  8. Look in the phone book under alignment shop.
  9. Go get a four wheel alignment. Depending on how much you lowered it will depend on whether it will be able to be set back to factory specs. Depending on how you drive and the type of driving you typically do, I'd recommend a little more camber compared to the factory specs.
  10. There isn't a market for them. I have seen a morettes style kit that was done oveseas, but nothing here in the states. The only exception to that is someone on the legacycentral board has created something similar to the morettes, but it's a one-off type of thing.
  11. I highly doubt a subaru extended warranty would be covered at an independent shop, unless the dealership had some sort of agreement, but I doubt it.
  12. Read over my swap write-up....it'll have a lot of the info you need www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/swap
  13. The water pump gasket is metal, you don't need rtv. I get my parts from www.subarugenuineparts.com best prices for online dealers that I have found, and good service.
  14. Check out www.bbs.legacycentral.org for more info....there's a guy that just did a swap into his early year impreza.
  15. Top off the coolant & bleed the system You need to remove the bleeder screw to bleed the air out of the system Here is a picture of the bleeder screw, looking down just past where the radiator hose comes into the radiator http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru/images/edmproject/DCP_3934.JPG Here's another one that shows it in relationship to everything else http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru/images/timingbelt/DCP_2731.JPG
  16. No I don't see a way for one to be added, at least easily.....
  17. She's on the bubble with the weight sensor. A buddy of mine's gf is right around 100 lbs, and the light does go on & off occasionally. I'm not really an airbag expert, but if you're at all skeptical, put her in the back.
  18. There are other MY's that will work. What is your final drive ratio? Your owner's manual will probably have that info. There are a few threads, try searching if you don't get an answer from someone.
  19. You'd be surprised what makes it in the junkyard....and/or how many wrecks there are.
  20. A 2.5RS clutch kit should work on the n/a push style transmissions. The only thing I'm not sure of is if the surface area on the first gen legacies is any different then the 2.5RS. I don't think it is....but you may want to search www.bbs.legacycentral.org as I know I've seen others use the 2.5 RS clutch setup.
