  1. How much does this cost? Looks like a good idea.
  2. Awsome find, good luck with it! Its always nice to have another soobie!
  3. I just used my Haynes/ Chilton manuals and the diagram from the Subaru dealer, and replaced the seals and bearing and thats it. The Haynes had the best walkthrough for rebuilding the pump.
  4. For about $15 - $25 and a couple of hours of wrenching you can rebuild your PS pump. I bought a new rebuild seal kit from the dealer and a new bearing from McGuire Bearing and now its smooth and doesn't leak believe it or not! I think the most important part to replace is the bearing which also acts a the main seal in the pump. My bearing was shot, rough and loose. Now my steering is like new.
  5. That's one sweet engine swap. Looks real clean and tidy! I bet that brat is really fun to drive!
  6. I would check all connections starting from the battery to the ignition etc... see if something wiggled loose or is broken. Maybe the ignition coil is starting to go? Its best to check everything first before you start buying new parts. saves time and money.
  7. If it runs ok then you should try to sell it. This is a great place to do it!
  8. I had Schwab just do mine, and it drives alot better then before! I would recommned them.
  9. Im jealous you EA 81 guys are getting a sweet deal haveing to wait a bit longer. Totally worth the wait! Its respectable that AA is honoring their agreement and refunding a bit. Thats good business to stand behind your word. I can understand that they are bummed to take a hit like this.
  10. Man a full front skid to cover the pipes and pan would be sooo nice! I just looked at the front of my rig and the oil pan is just sitting out waiting to get munched on. Plus in the snow a full skid will float this thing like a sled! Braaaaaahhhhp!
  11. Cool trade! That looks like its in great shape!

I went with the AA 4" lift. Got it in a couple of days after ordering it and installed it in 7 hours that saturday. So far so good, parts are well made, welds are good, seems very solid. I am very happy with my purchase.

    Makes a good hand warmer!
  14. I did see the swing gate. One of the best designs i have seen for a Subaru! Its clean, looks sweet, and works well. I can't wait to get one on my rig.
  15. Looks sweet. Very nice job on the wheel choice and the addition of the snorkel. Good to see it dirty!
  16. James count me in for a skid plate and rear bumper/swing gate spare tire mount.
  17. nice drift in the mud hole!
  18. Yeah again, great job! Pics look good, definately need some meaty tires to go on there. I can relate to the bloody bruised knuckles after working on it!
  19. I'm bummed that the Mt Hood Rally got cancelled. I was looking forward to doing some filming. Its always fun to watch cars go fast on fire roads! http://www.oregonrally.com/stage_rally.cfm
  20. Chirp, Chirp, Braaaaaaahp!
  21. Congrats on the new rig!! Now we just need some snow to play in!
  22. I got my AA lift in one day. It took me and my buddy 1 hour for the rear and about 6 hours for the front. The hardest part for me was getting the tranny bolts to line up. Had to use a couple of come-alongs to get things in place, wood blocks and hammer to fine tune adjustments. I definitely recommend getting all six tranny bolts on but loose so you can wiggle stuff around to line the holes up before cranking down on them. I did this on a full size hydraulic garage lift though. Made everything alot easier by being able to stand under the car! Be careful when you drop the engine and tranny down, watch the heater hoses and several misc ground wires so they don't get pulled out. His instructions are pretty good and everything went in well. I am very pleased with my purchase and the quality of workmanship on the AA products. I also saw that strut that he compressed and bent! Amazing! Good test on lift durability. Be sure to check the bolts after driving it around for a few days.
  23. That is one burley BRAT, can't wait to see more pics!
