  2. bwuahahhahahahahah 26" travel with IFS... good one... unless you have 30k into that rig ... no.
  3. i live in western wa and we get rain allll winter long except the mountains . i want snow just so i can go drive in it!
  4. did your gas mileage go down with that heavy of oil?? it seems wierd to me to run 5w-30 when i always run 10-30 in the least... i can hear my pistons slapping or something.. hmmm
  5. i use chevron 5w-30 in my sooby and 10w-40 in my broncoII, since its driven hard and likes to leak
  6. one of mine is broken.. this is what i can find. i am going to order a set. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-01-SUBARU-IMPREZA-HALO-PROJECTOR-HEADLIGHTS-B-99-00_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQitemZ8009151806QQrdZ1
  7. didnt you have to weld to put the new exhast on??? i had to weld mine on.. i got a ricer exhast muffler on the back but it was too loud so i put a 3' long glasspack underneath on top of it and the stcok resonator deal. it is quiet now.. but looks cool now it hangs opposite of yours.. too low. i would just heat the metal up with a oxy torch and rebend it. thats what i will do. cheers
  8. 17s with 225/50r17 tires no mods. my broncoII on 35s. TAKE THAT TOYOTA
  9. i have a 98 obs 2.2 5spd. i love it, but my car doesnt even want to do over 80 :-///... whats wrong with it?? it doesnt want to pull at all after 80. even the 03 civic EX i drive goes right up to the governer at 120 and would still go if it wernet there.. my 98 2.2 obs 5spd barely pushes 110 or so.... :-\ hmm.. it has a lot more engine than the civic.. what gives? all that I have done to it is put a new muffler on. and its a way less restrictive muffler.
  10. my car doesnt even want to do over 80 :-///... whats wrong with it?? it doesnt want to pull at all after 80. even the 03 civic EX i drive goes right up to the governer at 120 and would still go if it wernet there.. my 98 2.2 obs 5spd barely pushes 110.... :-\ and i think throttle has a ton to do with mpg. when i go super light and cruise like my grandpa on the roads, i get about 27mpg. when i drive with my foot in the floor, i get about 23. my bronco2 on 32 inch tires gets about 20mpg. why in the world did i buy a subaru.
  11. okay. so. I got an alarm, straight from china. i hooked up the horn, the parking lghts and the sensor to it. however, I cant figure out how to hook up the lock switches and the E brake to it! I had a stock remote entry, with a diagram on it, but the languages between systems dont agree, or something. anyone have a diagram of subaru wiring?? I searched the net and cant find anything with color codes my alarm from china talks about COM and nodes for the lock switches, and i get lost. common node, off node, normal node (or something?) if anyone knows what im talking about please chime in! thanks guys. i will post a picture of the directions tomorrow. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7994208469&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT
  12. oh ok. do I have to get it from the dealer? i found them for 130 class 2? + shipping on ebay. thanks guys
  13. nice. yeah they rubbed, but i trimmed them out. the rubbed in a lot of places. but you can get them to fit without visually hurting the car
  14. thanks.. doesnt look very strong though.... what is that 1/8"?? i dont know about that, I might just fab someting up myself. when i want to tow something, or when it comes to a bumper, i make it strong. now thats a bumper// structural C channel jea. ///not some plastic pos i have on my subaru i cant even hi lift from
  15. flex. hey I might buy those cooper mt's if you still want them in like a month when i get some money haha.. are tires very hard to mount yourself?
  16. where in the world do i weld a tow bracket on?? friggen unibodys..:-\
  17. seek and you will find about 80k on the t belts. i have never heard of AC problems. if you need more clearance for offroading, i would get a forester. otherwise a wagon does just about everything else
  18. get the subaru!!! i have a 98 and I love it. I had a chevy with the 3800, and yeah they do go for a long time, but EVERYTHING else breaks . even if you have to buy used, just the AWD is worth it. try outcornering me in the impala . and besides, if you want to sell the chevy once you buy it.. youre hosed on the retail. if you want gas mileage or FWD, get a civic. probably about as fast as that heavy impala, but with better gas mileage.
  19. well if you want to dive into the timing belt with me as i do my car you can, it will be my first, although i am mechanically inclined. i live by everett.
  20. yeah siping is about all you can do for ice,. but i dont like siping beacuse the tires get chopped up (depending on the tread pattern and if you drive like i do..) and yeah MTs and swampers are the best in the snow. well these actually: (since we can fit them hehe.. )
  21. 17x7" wheels 225/50 r17 khumo tires. they rubbed at first, on the inside of the fender lips, so I took off the rubber lip protectors to fix that, and on the struts, so i dented them in with a hammer (on the coil bucket.) they dont rub now except at full turn, but it is barely noticeable. and yes this means im not lifting it. well... not yet in inches, the tires work out to be 25.9"x8.9" stock 205/60 r15 is 24.7"x8.1" DOH! after getting home from putting them on. they didnt appear to rub untill i was already driving. luckily the tires werent rubbed down too much by the time i was home...
