February 4, 201016 yr As anyone ran them in their fog lights? I am looking at getting a set for my RS fogs but would like to hear some feedback.
February 4, 201016 yr I have never run the Yellow Stars, but hold the Hella product line in high regards. All of their products have been top notch in my book. So, think they have to be good.
February 5, 201016 yr Tell us about it! I'm debating whether I should put Sylvania Silverstars or Hella bulbs in my fogs.
February 5, 201016 yr I'm running yellow stars in my fogs. They are just a little yellow, enough to notice and help in actual fog. They aren't super yellow like you would get if you had a yellow lens fog. If you want that, go with the OPTILUX Extreme (Made by Hella) bulbs. Just remember, http://www.rallylights.com has all your Hella Lighting needs! Sorry, they're my friends and I buy all my Lighting equipment from them. Keith

I didn't know there was such a site that catered to owners of Subarus!!! From what I can see, looks like they take Subaru owners into consideration. Also lots of variety of products, thanks for the link!
February 5, 201016 yr Author I have been talking to them personally and they are super helpful. The yellow stars are back ordered that the moment till next week is what they are telling me. I will also be going with yellow lenses on my fogs. I just emailed them inquiring about their Optilux fogs. http://www.headlightarmor.com/subaru-lighting-kits.aspx?page=5 Edited February 5, 201016 yr by Durania
February 12, 201016 yr Author Just got my fogs revamped. Got the yellow tint from headlightarmor.com http://www.headlightarmor.com/subaru-lighting-kits.aspx?page=5 And took RallyKeith's advice and went with the Optilux XY yellows. My headlights are Silverstars and will probably be getting some 4500k HIDs soon. Here are the pictures:
February 12, 201016 yr I did the same thing with my 1998 Lagacy Outback, but I bought and cut the film myself (only 0.50 for the film & $4,500 for the plotter).
February 12, 201016 yr I am thinking yellow for the factory fogs would be much better than the way the factory designed them. tell more about the covers, and are the bulbs yellow without the covers. see in rain fog improved alot? My outback has the factory fogs, i am either wishing to -go yellow with covers so they actually do a good job -convert to driving lights, but since they are so low, probably bad -sell it

The bulbs are yellow bulbs. Mine are 55W, 12v, H3s. Edited February 16, 201016 yr by Durania
February 12, 201016 yr yellow makes them work better in fog/rain. let us know how they do and tell us if its the way to go.
February 12, 201016 yr what dose the yellow do? just looks or dose it make them work better in fog? It does help visibility. The yellow light isn't reflected back by fog the same way white or blue light is due to the difference in wavelength.
February 12, 201016 yr Let me know how well they do in the rain/fog Kyle. Looks very good. Have been considering some yellows to help with visibility in snow and rain, will probably go with your setup if you notice any difference.
February 12, 201016 yr Author I did read that the yellow film isnt really enough. If you will go this route, make sure and get the yellow bulbs as well. I also forgot to add that I replaced the factory torx screws that hold my fogs in. One bolt snapped in half and left the other part in my bumper, the other stripped out the hole. I replaced them with 10mm bolts coated in anti-seize. Makes for removal and installation so much easier.
February 15, 201016 yr You guys got some nice snow. Didn't get that much here in Morristown. I was in Oak Ridge at about 6 this morning, it was coming down pretty nice. Beautiful drive going out hwy 95 on the way out.
February 16, 201016 yr Author We got a good 4 inches here between 11pm-4am CST. Ole RS does amazing in the snow. I love getting looks when passing people uphill.
