Had fun today, got to see some old friends, and take Waterwagon3 out for it's first actually challenging day off pavement  (wouldn't have been if I had decent tires...) But anyway- here are all the photos -

more pics in a little bit....

Oh, and along the way home I went offroad on a little hill climb, and sorta bent up my exhaust system... it was... uhh... dragging on the ground whenever I hit bumps or dips in the road all the way home, so when I got to my neighborhood auto parts store, I crawled under the car and hack-sawed the muffler right off and took it in to size up the pipe for a cherry bomb and adapter fittings! (although, need to re-arrange things under there so it fits without hanging down so low this time..) so I have open exhaust for now till its fixed! haha

Nice pics guys. That last one is me trying to pull Jesse up the hill.

My favorits pic that I took. Can you tell we were having a good time? (Keep in mind, Bill is 6'6, that's a TALL car!)

If Bill is 6'6, then I'm 6'5

Anyone get stuck on the way down waiting for the tree cutters?

It looked like a group of local(?) snowmobilers took it upon themselves to take down trees along the road if they looked like they were going to fall.

I was behind our Ms Congeniality Forest Ranger and she was out helping move branches. So I guess it was approved, just rotten timing

Thank you everyone who came out. It was a great group this year. The weather had us scared at first but it turned out to be a great day.

Thank you to Naomi and Craig for being good sports. Those there know why!!

A new group this year made this a fun event. My wife commented that there were only a few familiar faces at first. Thanks again to our old and new friends for joining us on our little annual winter adventure!!

Yeah, what you can't see in the pic is my tires spinning backwards.

Hey Ken did you of anyone else happen to find a boot at the gravel pit before you left? My brother Josh thinks it might have fell out of his truck while he was there.

Several people got trees. They got them on the way out. This area did not have any roads that lead anywhere to get trees. That is why none of the pics have trees in them.

Proof that we got a tree.

I didn't take to many other pictures, I was too busy hanging out and eating lunch.

Little late to the party here, but better late than never!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped get me unstuck! I hate being that guy  Oh well :)

Lessons learned: You NEED good tires if you don't want to get stuck, trust me! Second lesson, I should have installed my paddle shifters and DCCD knob. Then I could do 2nd gear starts and lock up my AWD. I was not able to do that so that kinda hindered me. So I should have installed those before heading up there.

Next year I will have my 3" SJR lift installed with some 27" Bighorns, so traction and clearence shouldn't be an issue! I should also have my paddle shifter setup installed, so hopefully I won't be that guy again! Maybe I will be able to stay longer too if I am not so tired from working GY, meh. :-\

It was great meeting everyone and being able to put a face to the name. Thanks again Qman, Zap, Turbone, and anyone else involved with setting this up, it was fun! Hope to see you all next year!

I wish I could have made it. Carrie came down with a nasty sinus infection and a stomach bug which ended up getting passed on along to me unfortunatly.

If not, she could have hung out with Renae and Rob and I woulda gone up lol:lol:

I was up there, sick and all

I'm paying for it now tho puke.gif

I bet!

I ended up doing a clutch and rear brakes Sunday at my house on a '02 WRX wagon.... I've been paying for that since then:-\

I bet with all the rain in the mountains you might find it there now, providing flood water's didn't take it away.

I didn't see any left behind articles. We always do a walk around before we leave. Are you sure it didn't fall out when ya got stuck? Oops, I mean when you stopped to get trees. ;)
