January 24, 201115 yr Author I just got them on this afternoon, picked them up in White Center around 10am and had them on my car at about 3pm, I cant wait to use them, but I got a little work ahead of me before I can go wheeling again. This last Run was a bit hard on old Butters, I broke a couple of welds, tore a mirror off and smashed some of my pannels up. Not to mention I need to pound over the pinch welds and trim a little on the fenders, 30s would work with little cutting and pounding but the 31's with lots of tread, need some clearance............................ January 24, 201115 yr Author I have 31s on the front of the 5 door white wheeler , I extended the radius rod 1" helped a bunch, Ya Bill did that on his too, I think I might have to do it just to get it to turn and not tear the knobs off on the Tires.................... Jeff
January 24, 201115 yr I extended the radius rod 1" helped a bunch, +1 Mine are extended 1.25" and it does help a lot. The sleeve over the radius rod helps beef things up too. Also I think it helps to create a little more caster and a little better approach angle too. After I sleeved them and was putting it all back together I put the outer bolt in first, then had to ream out the other hole in the control arm to get the bolt through.
January 24, 201115 yr Looks good! With more traction and ground clearance, you can get in even MORE trouble! w00t
January 24, 201115 yr How do you go about doing this? cut radius rod in half slip pipe over and weld pipe to shaft
