I gave her a new oil change and some sea foam treatment.. adjusted the throttle cable down to open up the throttle.. and she runs like a bat outa hell... almost got er up to 95 today,, lmao

What have you done to your subi, is it bog standard or have you tweaked a few things??

I'm not sure how to interpretate those sounds you're trying to make, did something bad happen or did the ticking lifters go quiet at 95mph?

Cheers

Bennie

if...

... the ticking lifters go quiet at 95mph? ...

...Then the Oil pump is Worn... and if the T.O.D. is sung for too much time, the Hydro Lifters will go Worn too... But That Trends to be somehow "Usual" on EA82's...

Gotta Lovin' those Cars!

Kind Regards.

Does adjusting throttle cable down really give u more power? Are u just adjusting idle? Will u idle at higher rpm now?

It does when it's adjusted so poorly that it doesn't open all the way

Rislone (don't know if thats spelled right) will fix sticky lifters and quit the ticking.

I wasn't gettin full throttle. I was wondering why it had no power.. I had almost a half inch slack in the cable.. I replaced the mickey mouse gasket in the oil pump.. that didn't help the TOD, it kinda comes and goes.. probably need to adjust the HLA's and the little o rings everyone talks about. Do i need to remove the engine to do that ?
