Hows it going. Ive been using the forum for a bit to keep my Subaru alive. Thought I would finally put up some pics of my 87 Rx ea82t. It used to be Subaru gurus.

Ive changed the engine. Had to my buddy who bought it blew the one on it and I had to buy one off ebay from japan. Then I changed Head gaskets, Intake gaskets, and every seal, and the Usual maintenance. If it wasn't for this forum, I prob would have sold it by now lol.

Had to edit that last pic in. I just found it on my brothers computer. My manager put that ************ on my car. The same day I drove to Sacramento with the sticker still on lol.

Oh my mistake :-\.

I got some things I need to fix on it. My diff lock light is on all the time. Not sure what it is, when I put it in reverse it dims for a second, also my speedometer is lagging by 7 mph, it sits below zero when its off, and my oil pressure gauge is sitting below zero as well, I am thinking its some wiring problem, I had to replace the motor when I bought it. So I'm sure it was my doing. Its been running great so I have not worried about it, now its just bugging me lol.

Thanks , I'm still working on it, I am actually thinking of doing a ea to ej swap, but I need to do lots of reading and save up some cash.

 

Hmm.. Brings me to a question, Is it worth swaping an ej25 into it? I have a friend who has a 96 subaru Legacy. It seems like the ej20t is an expensive swap.

So question , Did you end up buying another duel range tranny? or did you swap with an ej22t one? Does the ej22t Tranny fit in the Stock Rx set up? About How much total time and money did you spend? I need a ball park to start saving, and finally what advise would you have to someone doing this from scratch?

If you're going to go the EJ route, it has to be a turbo with one of these! No two ways about it. Sleeper style and no one will know what passed them off at the lights
