September 17, 201213 yr Author Spent most the weekend grinding, treating and welding... I hate working on the under carriage (slow and dirty) Yanked the damaged radiator support. Have to rebuild the the apron since I can't find one. Body should be done by the end of the week... Edited September 17, 201213 yr by tundrabrat
September 17, 201213 yr you would find a apron fairly easy here in oregon or washington at a junkyard or find one at someones house thats going to scrap
September 17, 201213 yr Author I posted 3 seperate times with no responses... even offered a finders fee .. time to move on
September 17, 201213 yr give them a call and see if they would cut it off and ship it to you http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/ptd/3269918574.html
September 20, 201213 yr Author Time is getting short... I decided to do it myself. Cut the ends off, reshaped them and fabed the middle. 18 gauge will be much stronger than factory... will weld it up this weekend.

Of course, that would be after you and the Mrs get back from the 6 month+ cruise I send you on. Tom, if you won the Lotto, I think you would probably have the motivation to resto the Brats your self. Hell, you'd probably buy all the proper tools to make it a little easier (I would) Damn man, you are starting to make me jealous with this core support work. Good job
October 15, 201213 yr Author Paint day came and went... painter got sick and had to cancel... reschedule to November. Tucked away until I'm back from my vacation... just in time, snowed yesterday.
October 15, 201213 yr looks like you got the third eye radiator support or are you welding the old one on? just asking because i cut/drilled out mine to put the third eye on my 85 brat
October 15, 201213 yr Author That's correct... had to replace the radiator support due to damage and it doesn't come with the center brace but I am going with the 3rd eye anyways so less cutting for me. Edited October 15, 201213 yr by tundrabrat

February 11, 201313 yr Author Had to add a little nod to the STI engines I've been building for years. Engines going together well and I think I have a lead on two perfect doors so it'll actually be on the road this Summer.
