March 26, 200422 yr i saw one guy mention that he ran 27 inch rubber on 15 inch pugs, on his ea82 wagon, with minimal to no rubing. so im wondering, could i get by with 25.5s on my 86 4x hatch, with no lift cranked in? mcbrat, did they only rub where the tire was biggest, BECAUSE of the lift, or would it do without a lift too? might sound dumb, but it widens up a bit above the mud flap.
April 7, 200421 yr 195/65R15 is about the biggest you can go on a stock hatch with the suspension raised up......
May 5, 200421 yr Author they fit, with a little trimmin and hammering. the rears go on no problem, but the fronts were the tight ones. i cranked in most of the front lift, and they ride reel nice. wend down several allies, and everything seems cool. i dont think i would be able to pop wheelies like the guys out west, unless i had a real lift. thanks mcbrat!
May 5, 200421 yr hey, didn't I see those just a few days ago in the back of a bleu brat? yes, they are nice
May 5, 200421 yr Author any estimates on how far my speedo is off? i can still go 85, but that must mean im goin about 95? i'll have to borrow a gps
May 5, 200421 yr the tire calc page says your speedo is 9.9% too slow.... so 65 speedo = 71.4 actual http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html those aren't off-roading tires They are Dayton Quadra SE's: 205/65R15
May 9, 200421 yr Author just tore an inner doj boot. hopefully its just old. the camber isnt even noticeable, but on my 88 ea82 wagon with the front cranked, the camber is horrible.
