Orange XV in Skagit River collapse

Featured Replies

Yesterday a bridge on Washington State I-5 collapsed into the Skagit river after a semi truck collided with a support.  Thankfully no one was killed in the collapse. However in the photos I can see that one of the vehicles that ended up in the water was an orange Subaru Xv.

Once hearing the news i was almost expecting someone from the forum to be invilved. close enough though. No body was hurt, but poor soob!

it sucks that it happend i also posted a thred about it in off topic lol

the skagit river; its what makes a subaru, a submarine

dude, that's almost as bad as texans comment in the other thread, lol

trust us subruise and skylar know almost what its like to own a sub lol

One of the many reasons Subarus are awesome. Car gets hit by a truck or something (that xv has a LOT of body damage so I'm assuming something hit it pretty hard) it falls off of a bridge, into a river, and the passenger is not only OK, but appears to have grabbed his backpack and climbed out of the vehicle without even a visible scratch.

The fark of it? The truck was delivering materials for the Keystone tarsands oil pipeline.

The bridge collapsed with the car on it. The "truck" hit the bridge not the car. It fell "with" the bridge...

Yeah, I think bits of the bridge hit the XV. Not that it's any less impressive... betcha those bits of the bridge were pretty solid.

I'd love to hear that conversation between the owner and his insurance company...
