May 25, 201312 yr Yesterday a bridge on Washington State I-5 collapsed into the Skagit river after a semi truck collided with a support. Thankfully no one was killed in the collapse. However in the photos I can see that one of the vehicles that ended up in the water was an orange Subaru Xv. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2330069/BREAKING-NEWS-Bridge-collapses-Washington-state-leaving-cars-filled-passengers-river.html

May 28, 201312 yr One of the many reasons Subarus are awesome. Car gets hit by a truck or something (that xv has a LOT of body damage so I'm assuming something hit it pretty hard) it falls off of a bridge, into a river, and the passenger is not only OK, but appears to have grabbed his backpack and climbed out of the vehicle without even a visible scratch.
June 3, 201312 yr The fark of it? The truck was delivering materials for the Keystone tarsands oil pipeline.

The "truck" hit the bridge not the car. It fell "with" the bridge...
June 25, 201312 yr Yeah, I think bits of the bridge hit the XV. Not that it's any less impressive... betcha those bits of the bridge were pretty solid. I'd love to hear that conversation between the owner and his insurance company...
