Might anyone know a source that has those bolts or their safe and appropriate equivalent for less than $9 per bolt? I can find them cheaper but then the shipping makes up for the lower cost. My caliper mount bolts are rounding and I wish to replace them. I went to Home Depot but they were out of stock and not expecting more. Advance had the right size but the grade was too low according to the parts manager who said a grade 10 is really the safe one to get.

 

Amazon has them for $9 which is a lot of money for a bolt. I'll go with it if there is no safe alternative but thought I'd ask here.

Go to a Pull n' Pay--bet you'd get a real bargain there!

Give the bolt head size and length and some of us here probably have them.....for $8 each. LOL

 

Oh yeah -those are 17mm bolts?

 

Subaru has them for $4.88, then shipping but picking it up local....?

Try your local 'Industrial Fasteners' wholesale counter.

More and more places now carry metric bolts.

even Lowe's has a bin for some of that stuff but - you need the same GRADE and that may mean an industrial supply place as mentioned.

Post in the classifieds here! Somebody is always parting out a car and has some extra bolts around.

 

Are you looking for the long bolts that go through the caliper sliders? Or the short ones that hold the bracket on the knuckle?

Went off to the Subaru dealer and pick them up for $4.88 a piece. Thank you to everyone to suggested that!
