May 20, 20178 yr Would it be ok to use auto parts store brand gaskets and seals for stuff like oil pan, rear main seal, the little gasket things the cover the piston retainer clip things, or should i just order subaru brand only for these harder to reach gaskets?
May 20, 20178 yr Absolutely not. Subaru only on all that. Oil pan is glued on. Get the current three bond from the Nissan dealer. You will also need a weird small caulking gun made by Permatex. Local parts houses should be able to get them for about $5. GD Edited May 20, 20178 yr by GeneralDisorder

May 20, 20178 yr Author When you say three bond are you talking about this part number? Nissan Part No.: 999MP1217HP THREEBOND 1217H
May 22, 20178 yr Thank you for the fast reply. I had a hard time finding reviews for there brand gaskets. I just used the 1217H on my pan works awesome. I got this from amazon it worked great on these small tubes... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HBGHCW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
May 22, 20178 yr Just attached for future reference. A former Subaru mech I used loved that (expensive) Right Stuff....Nissan 3-bond is a better deal.
May 22, 20178 yr I like the right stuff only because you can put it on like an oil pan. You can immediately fill it with oil and drive it. No waiting an hour or more to drive the car. (not sure if that's how the Nissan 3 bond works or not)
May 23, 20178 yr There is no waiting time for the three bond. It is ATF rated as well. The Subaru pink stuff has been discontinued. GD
