Dunno about the #1 gay and lesbian car. . . but the Outback certainly is the most usual visitor of REI. More often than not, the Outback is the one car I see in that parking lot more than any other.

And it is the #1 car I see at the mtn bike parking lots, ski resorts, etc.

Oh no. The Outback was first. Do you think this means my wife could be a lesbian? And if so, will that increase my chances at a threesome?:brow:

 My wife has been driving the outback for over 5 years now and no luck so far.

My wife was shocked when I told her that I knew that subarus were considered lesbian cars. She said someone at work was picking on her.

Subaru and VW Jettas are common for homosexuals...maybe they just have good taste:lol: (As long as the Jetta is a diesel)

i think they are just jealous that they can't have a subaru:lol:

Agreed...

I think that it is just an attack against them. I think that it is just fine that if they enjoy the car, or the STICK SHIFT better :brow: then that is just more roos on the road :burnout:

did u guys read that gay guy ones lol cartalk people are stupid. The miata isnt a gay guy car its a midlife crisis car. They should do a survey and look in every miata they see. 90% of the time its a mid fourties 300+ pound man. I would however agree that any guy who drives a beetle bug better be gay or they might get beat up.

HA I would agree about the bettle and the miata!!

DEFINITELY agree on the beetle... but only a new age one. those are for feminine sides only. the old ones are for people that cant afford nicer cars, and havent found any subarus.

i see a lot more guys than girls in miatas. any guy with a convertible is either having a midlife crisis or is a doctor of some sort.

i can see outbacks as being the rugged lady's car, which is more seen as butch than just an outdoorsy person. oh well, if you dont get the car cuz you think people will think you're lesbo, you're the one missing out. at least lesbos go places:rolleyes: .

subarus, or anything w/ serious off roading capabilities, is not seen as a feminine vehicle period. sure, some girls drive huge trucks while their husbands drive hyundai sonatas, but they sure dont go on the dirt with them. i think that any girl that is willing to get dirty in their car (or even rallyx) is better than some prissy mall rat driving a red mustang convertible that their daddy bought for them. i guess same goes for guys, too.

yeah, i ranted.

I've had convertibles for years, what amounts to having extra fun for me without spending any extra dollars. I like my subaru, but in pennsylvania, I get about ten days of real use out of the AWD per year, and I get about one hundred days of real use out of the convertible top feature per year. I also think it's funny that my politically incorrect Mustang GT gets 3 to 5 MPG better fuel economy than my liberal darling Outback ever does. The outback is also the first car I ever bought that wasn't on consumer reports "never buy this" list, and it's the first car I've ever worried about having an engine failure with. all that aside, I really like the outback and will probably have one subaru or another for the forseeable future.

HELL YES!!! ALL GIRLS READ THIS!!!
hmmm... I bought my station wagon, but I dont go off road in it. :(

True, but you track your car. . . more than 99.9999999% of girls everywhere do with their cars.

Yeah, she'll drive around a parking lot, but she won't tear up a grassy field, I guess the offroad life isn't for everyone.

heh, well I'm a lesbian trapped in a man's body....does that count?:brow:

That is me too!! :drunk:

What a relief when I opened the web site to see what was up.

I though people may have been slamming Subaru about head gasket leaks, torque bind, wheel bearing failures, or Consumer Reports' below average reliability rating.

I also think it's funny that my politically incorrect Mustang GT gets ....

wellll, if the mustang's a gt, then its alright to be convertible because its got more of a kick to it than a reg. mustang. i also see a lot more guys driving gt or cobra versions of the mustang, while i see females driving the convertible small-liter version. fere fere entresteng....
