October 24, 200421 yr well this is going back to an on-going arguement from this spring. the charcoal canister..... needed or not? does it makea difference on anything with the fuel system or economy? Please give your response to this.
October 24, 200421 yr I took it off as part of the weber swap... my opinion, not needed, though you may lose a minute amount of fuel economy as vapors are not reclaimed... instead they just escape.
October 24, 200421 yr I was going to make a long thought out reply.. but the train derailed about halfway through.. so I'm gonna go get some more caffiene and leave two words. Dump it.
October 25, 200421 yr but the once the purge valve opens on the charcoal coal canister wouldnot this be similar to a vacuum leak? Btw i have dumped mine but dont know where to put the fuel tank vent and bowl vent
October 25, 200421 yr charcoal canister does not hurt performance at all. if any thing it helps a tiny bit. no its not a vacume leak. it is there to help prevent you expensive fuel from evaporating into the atmosphere (where it causes a bit of trouble). basically it lets you burn all the fuel you put into your tank.
