December 7, 200421 yr hey, will this be running in time for me to see it in action this Dec?? well, I would like to see it anyways! comparing it to the EJ22 swap.. looks like that is more difficult! if I do another conversion.. I would with an ea81 body (brat or something ) and use the EJ25T or EJ20T.... with the matching tranny.. and just get custom axles and driveshaft... if I go 6 cyl, then it will be a EZ30 from an 02 or 03 H6 wagon the catch is... money and time... both of wich I lack at the moment! but now I know how to do it all!! cool hatch to say the least!!! I hope you get it driving soon!!!
December 8, 200421 yr Author it'll be runin for sure, and hopefully i'll finish the bumper/motormounts/skidplate assembly this weekend... but it might be only 2wd =/
January 1, 200521 yr if I go 6 cyl, then it will be a EZ30 from an 02 or 03 H6 wagon That would be my choice too. It's a lot more compact then a ER27

January 7, 200521 yr Author So, how are things going with this monster? oh ya, front emergency brakes and rear wheel drive are a fun combo. the only problem, the second i let out the clutch, i instantly loost traction. im gonna put about 400lbs in the back, and put about 50 miles on tomorrow. more, very good pics to come. =]

January 8, 200521 yr whats the problem with loosing traction? that was the point of a bigger engine wasn't it? How come you can't install the front halfshafts? then you can lay lots of rubber. I secons the vids request (in quicktime if possible)

No! Put it in 4X mode and take off like a bat out of hell.
January 10, 200521 yr Author ug, i spin the tires at low speeds, and standing still, but when shes movin down the road... the clutch slips like crazy 50 more hp couldnt have that much more clutch slippin action. what could it be?

April 12, 200520 yr Engine sits a little more level in the bay when Subieloving scum I share shop space with throw away the stock motor mounts and replace them with the drag race suspension stolen off my CRX: Uh, yeah, a couple of $0.99/per hockey pucks from wongleflute's. I use them stacked over the rear shocks to prevent rearward suspension travel when at the dragstrip. Ghetto riceboy trick. I think the above engine was pulled no less than five times to try different solutions to correcting engine/trans angle. Just a little trick Dave figured out, to help out anybody else trying this swap.
