My situation was $$$. I even had a website with a diary of a turbo XT6. It just never happened.

 

 

And Dave of ProECM has a turbocharged XT6 already. He's just quiet as kept (whatever the kept part means). :-\ I'm retarded!

well, I would like to see it anyways!

 

comparing it to the EJ22 swap.. looks like that is more difficult!

 

if I do another conversion.. I would with an ea81 body (brat or something ;) ) and use the EJ25T or EJ20T.... with the matching tranny.. and just get custom axles and driveshaft...

if I go 6 cyl, then it will be a EZ30 from an 02 or 03 H6 wagon :slobber:

 

the catch is... money and time... both of wich I lack at the moment! but now I know how to do it all!! :banana:

So, how are things going with this monster?

oh ya, front emergency brakes and rear wheel drive are a fun combo.

 

the only problem, the second i let out the clutch, i instantly loost traction.

im gonna put about 400lbs in the back, and put about 50 miles on tomorrow. more, very good pics to come. =]

Added weight? No! Put it in 4X mode and take off like a bat out of hell.

Engine sits a little more level in the bay when Subieloving scum I share shop space with throw away the stock motor mounts and replace them with the drag race suspension stolen off my CRX:

Uh, yeah, a couple of $0.99/per hockey pucks from wongleflute's. I use them stacked over the rear shocks to prevent rearward suspension travel when at the dragstrip. Ghetto riceboy trick.

 

I think the above engine was pulled no less than five times to try different solutions to correcting engine/trans angle. Just a little trick Dave figured out, to help out anybody else trying this swap. :)
