December 6, 200421 yr Im jealous that your turbowagon runs! I need to get off my butt and finish mine.
December 6, 200421 yr I wish it snowed more here in Dallas. We get about two days of snow a year. Before I got my Forester, I was driving a '69 Volkswagen Beetle that was slip-sliding all over the place. I have yet to drive my Forester in what little snow we get down here.
December 6, 200421 yr oh man the old bugs were great in the snow. the places my dad went with his could rivle my suby wagon
December 9, 200421 yr I'll bet. My old Volks could also drive through about a foot of water, too. In fact, my dad told me a story about the Great Ice Storm of '78 (a Dallas legend). His little Bug was the only car that could make it up a glazed-up hill. Unfortunately, an idiot in a Ford Escort cut me off and now the Volks is a small metal cube, may it rest in pieces. The Forester, however, works wonders in the torrential rain we get here, and I can't wait to get it out on the ice when the time comes.
December 11, 200421 yr where the hell did you get those rims?!? i was going to go with the toy 6-lug, but if i can get my greasy claws on a set of those, oooh boy! ah, 1st post on a new forum... i just picked up an '80 DL wagon for 600 buckaroos (US), she hasn't even broken 100,000 miles, all original might i add. thinking about doing a lift kit and some 26" tires, brush guard, roof rack, you know all that jazz. i guess that'll be good for my introduction, thank you for your time! Vicious-S
