Featured Replies

What was the stock tire size on an 86 GL Wagon 4x4?

Ya Ya ya I know "stupid question", but I am board and thought I would post a question that I am curious about.

really? I thought they kept 185/80r13 for '85 and '86 and then switched to 185/70r13 in '87... *shrug*

guess I should have paid more attention to my friend's '86...

185/70R13

stock tire size? put on the biggest ones that fit!

There are four stock sizes I know for sure...

155/SR13, DL models

175/70SR13, GL

175/70HR13, GL-10(Turbo)

185/70HR13, RX & GL-10(Turbo) FullTime 4WD tranny

I have also heard that a 165/80SR13 may have been used on earlier models.

to find the stock tire size for your car...

1. Open drivers door

2. locate the VIN plate (on the door frame for most)

3. read it - it does list stock tire size.

There are four stock sizes I know for sure...

155/SR13, DL models (2wd models)

175/70SR13, GL (2wd GL's & 4wd DL's)

175/70HR13, GL-10(Turbo) (2wd)

185/70HR13, RX & GL-10(Turbo) FullTime 4WD tranny

185/70R13 All 4wd GL's

I have also heard that a 165/80SR13 may have been used on earlier models.
