December 8, 200421 yr Yeah yeah...blue hood...I didnt have the $ to go for white or flat black...so i just cleaned it up and put it on...along with the WRX TMIC i might add... its SO much faster at high boost now (14 PSI). But, alas...if I want 29 MPGs, like I was getting...I need to stay on low boost and stay out of it.
December 8, 200421 yr Cool!!!! What kind of "scoop" is that?? Got any more laying around?? The car looks friggin sweet!!!
December 8, 200421 yr Author Ebay. WRX imitation scoop. Cheezy and cheap, but it works. Flops like a humming bird wing at 120+ MPH tho. :-\ Serves its purpose well otherwise.
December 8, 200421 yr The car is sweet! I had the pleasure of meeting WJM a few weekends ago. Heck of a nice guy and a super nice ride too. Also the header he has on sounds pretty cool too when he left the place where I was staying at.... Congrats on the new job too! Matt

December 8, 200421 yr Author not so floppity after a few coats of paint and some clear coat I bet so. I was going to make a small center stabilizer at some point.
December 8, 200421 yr I'm going to make one out of sheet metal, make it like the old mopar ones (I forgot the name of the car but it had three stabilizer bars in it) Will, you lower the rear? looks lower then it did but it could be the angle.
December 8, 200421 yr Hey Will, Nice looking car and I really like your intercooler setup. That's beautiful! Simple and effective! I think I'm gonna cry. I need to put one one.
December 9, 200421 yr What did you use "yellow stuff" to hold you RPV return line to your pre-turbo pipe. I have everything to get my RPV going but haven't solved that problem yet. Sorry for the hijack. The ground effects really make it POP. Good stance too.
December 9, 200421 yr Author Those are the old MRT camber/caster adjustable plates fro any legacy/impreza. The stuff for the recirc is some kind of 2 part epoxy from NAPA. Works well it seems.... I just had a bunch of tires and junk in the back...so its like 1 inch lower.
December 9, 200421 yr Author New sprigns comming tho...Ground control 8 inch, 400 lbs...that will lower it 2 inches. you comming to matt/porters part this sat night?
December 9, 200421 yr Hi WJM I am in Greenville SC and was wondering if you know of any subaru friendly JY in ashville there isn't much around here Later Charlie
December 9, 200421 yr Author Hi WJM I am in Greenville SC and was wondering if you know of any subaru friendly JY in ashville there isn't much around here Later Charlie Um....I have yet to look....lol. sorry.
December 9, 200421 yr what holds your IC in place? im getting a wrx IC and i cant afford to have it flopping around when im haulin rump roast in the mountains.
December 9, 200421 yr Author what holds your IC in place? im getting a wrx IC and i cant afford to have it flopping around when im haulin rump roast in the mountains. THere are some rubber peices under the IC that hold it level in relation to the hood, so...that and the hood. There is enough holding power AND flex in the piping to allow to to move aroud when needed, but yet stay really stable and not flop. Ive never had issues with it moving around. Just dont use PVC plumbing pipes in those lines you will be fine.
December 9, 200421 yr so.... when are you gonna sell me that bodykit? SO would those camber plates fit onto an XT6 strut then? Possibly looking at some for the RX when I get the 5-lug done and the performance springs as well.... Oh did I mention the slotted rotors and 4 piston calipers too? Don't ask where they're coming from, just drool when I can get pics of them:D
December 10, 200421 yr YO Dat Rides' da BOMB!! Wanna trade it for my '87 Waqon? uh, didn't think so.....
