January 2, 200620 yr The application I see here is that clutchmasters makes a clutch kit (new gen) that is only SLIGHTLY stiffer than stock and held up to 305Hp on my old 2.5RS for almost 100k miles. The disk is more of a factor than the PP in that kit. That disk could be used and provide substantial improvement even if the stock PP is used. Although, since I am reffering to the Gen1 RS it is a push type, you could always redrill/peg that PP to work with the flywheel if needed.
January 4, 200620 yr Slightly different take... Does this mean that an EA82 clutch plate will work on early Legacy models too? I don't know the new gen cars very well, so forgive me if this is a redundant question... John
January 8, 200620 yr why yes sir it does, if you can use the new gen clutch on the old gen car, you SHOULD be able to put old gen stuff into new gen car.
January 14, 200620 yr this whole clutch thing had me thinkin and looking... i was trying to track down the exedy clutch for the ea82 chassis ( good clutch imo) and found that it lists 200mm for 2wd models and 225 for 4wd models.. I havent had a problem using 2wd to 4wd or vice versa when throwing clutches around in subarus... what gives? rllywgn
January 15, 200620 yr Author as long as you use all the 2wd stuff with 2wd stuff and 4wd stuff with 4wd stuff...it doesnt matter. 2wd and 4wd input shafts are different splines, clutch discs different diameters, plates and flywheels accordingly.
