Co-worker had to take his 04' Impreza in for some work at the local Subaru dealership so they gave him a loaner car...oh and what a loaner car they gave him. Woot! an 05 Legacy GT 2.5 Turbo, and I got to take it for a spin...OMG I tell ya almost makes me want to go out and take a car loan and move myself over to the new gen forum..this car was so damn FAST and handled so well it was incredible. Subaru defintely impressed me with this car. Will almost be sad to climb back into the RX tonight after work...proof is in the terrible pics taken with my cell phone..

They sure did a magnificant job of covering that there engine  Maybe thats how they officialy delt with leaking valve covers

IF YOU CAN'T SEE THE PROBLEM, THEN what problem, I SEE NO PROBLEM

just like the one i have to step around to get to the timeclock in the morning.... gurgle

slow, handles ok....daily driver there.

I know the feeling, when I finished my WRX (260hp), I drove it a few times before I took it to get inspected, getting back into abd driving my 86 GL-10 4WD Turbo Sedan after driving that car just wasn't the same.

I passed a black Legacy gt on the intersate last weekend! I definatlly love the dual exhaust! Very tasteful chrome tips.

After reading this all the way....this will come across sounding like im INSANE....but i would realisticly NEVER own a 2.5 GT....unless its for stricky daily driving (thats if someone GAVE it to me)or just to have it in the garage to say "yeah, ive got one."

Why? My RX handles better, and its almost as fast...I drove the Legacy GT at a ride and drive at the SE SUby challange...the only thing I was impressed with was the transmission, and even then i was dissapointed that the shifter in the center console was BACKWARDS!! :banghead:

Anyhow...basically i dont trust the new legacys because they are 55% or so US content and assembled. Only Impreza and Forester for me. I know the 2nd gen Legacys are great tho...3rd gen..ok...4th gen...im waiting.

I was actually looking into getting the 6 banger one....... but they are only AUTOS!!!!!:banghead:
