Remember the SS Subaru? You should see it now.

I'm sure everyone remembers the SS Subaru , the car that went afloat in the mighty Pacific. Well as it belongs to Nicky Night Eyes, and he is in Hawaii. When I came outside and saw the tow notice that had been put on it, I wasn't sure what to do.

So we Blackstone and I (mostly Blackstone) stripped it to guts.

The really great part of the whole deal is, apperantly you can take a car apart on the side of a main road in N.E. Portland at midnight and noone seems to care. Noone even looks at you funny, or asks why you are doing it. Not even the cop who drove by at the end when there weren't even doors anymore.Sunday night, Midnight.

were they THAT afraid of the possibility of catching rust? its not the end of the world

wewt! all night stripper party; subaru style :drunk:

leaving the rear wheels and such so it can be towed away?

Hard to tell from the pics, but it doesn't look to be rusty. Sort of a waste. :(

poor car...

Looks like what was left after a friend and I stripped my sister-in-laws' dodge caravan POS.

Everything underneath was rusty, the engine was full of sand, the front axles long robbed, electrical was shot, the rear diff was robbed, no seats. That was all before we stripped it.

and YES, we left the rear for towing.

The only problem with that will be when the last registered owner(Nick) get the bill for the impound and storage fees.

Nope, he's lucky to have friends like us. Thats why we stripped it, then I called someone from Portland Auto Wrecking to take it for scrap so Nick wouldn't get billed by the city. Since he works for the city, that could have caused some problems.

My originall intention was just to get it out of there before the city took it. The rest ended up happening, and the doors were taken off mostly to entertain Blackstone. Although, Nick did want one.

Oh well, on to new adventures.
