Sept 14th Hillsboro Rallycross

Featured Replies

I know its coming up, I know I will be there (PROBABLY in the GL, but MAYBE the brat....) Anyone find the info page for it? I find it here and there on the ORG page, but havn't yet found DETAILS.

Hmmmm so if I understand correctly... I can run Truck / SUV with the GL now huh? Its tempting to run Open class again, but somehow I think I would have a better chance of finally getting a trophy running against SUV's :D

OH man, i hope i can get my hatch going for this....the little hatch is going to scream! If not, i am going to have to drive my stock as sin 87 wagon....either way, im looking forward to the event!

Not yet posted on ORG site, but this is official (per Chris Hale):

Hmmmm if I can get Andrew to cart up his welder... we should bob the BRAT :D

All I need you for Zap is to show me where to cut and what to be careful of hitting (wires, cables, whatever funny stuff is hidden in the body) and I need andrew to weld the arse back on :D

I should be there... this time actualy meet and talk with you guys.

Well i obviously wasn't able to make it....I didn't get back home from Eugene until 2:30 saturday night.....which meant 2 hours of sleep before i would have had to leave for the rally. I hope you guys had fun, sorry i missed you all. I will be there next month with my hatch! How did everyone do?

Eric Zap took 1st Open with times that included a best time of day overall at 1:48 and change.

Truck/SUV was won by Luke Ebert (Gen1 Brat), with my oldest son Eric in 2nd right behind him(Gen2 Brat). Jason Neal took 3rd in that class('77 wagon!). I was somewhere down in the dregs of 7th or 8th out of the 12 car field.

Qman brought his immaculate Hatch and posted some fine times. Course was quite slick at the beginning and times got better as the moisture dried off.

Cool. Sorry, Mike, but I couldn't remember where you had placed. I'm waiting for the results to be posted but it will be a few days (weeks?).

I'm sorry I missed it too. Either my alarm clock didn't go off or I slept through it:( I woke up at 8:45... crawled outta bed at 9:30.

Next time...really.

And if his tailgate isnt challenge enough... try to rebuild the black gate off my brat.

#1 Missing emblems and trim

#2 Dented

#3 Rusty on bottom

#4 Missing 2 of 3 interior covers

#5 Broken latch

Anyone who can successfully rebuild my gate = a subaru miracle worker

The one I sold him was pretty nice - except for dents, and no chrome, it had no rust at all, and the latch worked great. Yeah - I've seen yours Flo - better off just hanging that one in the garage for spare sheet metal, and screws. I doubt you could even sell if for enough to warrant the trouble to ship it.

I found a bolt with the same thread, and the right shape head, but was too long, so out came the dremel, and my tailgate is now secure! Thanks for remembering about that tho.

Yes I will be going to the next one on Oct. 12th. I wouldn't miss it. Need to get my monthly dose of adrenalin!! I'll be driving up the night before and staying over at the motel next to the course.
