15" wheels on a 93 legacy wagon

Featured Replies

iam thinking about getting a 93' Legacy wagon ""L' Series/AWD...it allready has 14"s

will 15" fit without rubbing or will i need a lift???

spark

15's will fit (every Subaru rim will fit except SVX and 2005 STi) and so will 16's (i.e. WRX takeoffs).

Here's my 93 sedan on 16" WRX wheels with the stock 205/55-16 tires:

Nice wheels...thanks for all the idea's on wheels guys..........spark

Like Craig, 94 GT with 2.5 RS 16 inchers 225/50's

you got 225/50s to fit....nice, I'm only running 205/55

Good luck, Sparkster. I have an older set of 15" wheels on my '91 Legacy; not a problem.

Dang, those early Legacies look good with the right wheels!

Craig, please accept my apologies.

When you commented about my tires I had to go check,

I was wrong, they are 205/55 R16's

The 225/50 R16s are on my RS -

they will be going on my 93 Legacy Turbo wagon.

Will report.

again I am sorry for the misinformation

ok the 93 L i looked at had all the records ect...had 148K+ but when i crawled under the engine........yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

both covers leaking and one head leaking....so i took it out for the drive...lol

pulled a llittle to the right no biggy...

came back and popped the hood....just as i thought.....smells like chicken????

no way.. smoking a lot...the valve covers were leaking good...

no deal......the orig price $2700 then they called me afew days later and had dropped it to $2300 ,,so iam expecting a call in a wk or to ....

lol.......

Still looking for that nice Legacy aWD ,auto for around $2500..... spark.

Surely stock diameter would require 205/50R16 ??

In my opinion thats what looks best, 17 and 18 get too big and make the brakes look puny. The added weight of most larger rims will also be negative for handling.

16 inchers with an inch of lowering...my next project, right after I win the lottery ;-)

That may be true with Legacy's that came with 14's stock. However, the Turbo's came with 15's and bigger brakes. Besides, today's aftermarket wheels tend to be lighter weight.
