Hi...

There are a few old Subarus still on the road here...but very few indeed.A know some FF1 and 360´s in junkyards, but never saw one on the road. There was a Subaru dealer in the 70´s near my hometown. He´s still alive but and he told me he sold many Subarus. There were some that were imported from SouthAfrica too, manly GSR´s ( he still have one ).

Here is another pic of my car and a bit of his history...

Subaru.JPG

I took this pic back in 2003,after almost 12 years in the garage withou seeing daylight.

My grandfather bought it new in 1975, and unfortunately he died 3 years later, even before i was born. But after that my dad drove it a few times, until the day the battery went dead.My father oiled the bottom and the doors of the car before it was stored in my grandmother´s garage. That´s why it has no rust:) .

To be continued...

Olá Peter...o teu português até não está muito mau.Estou feliz por encontrar aqui alguem que fale a mesma lingua que eu.

Thanks

Fil

wow thats hard to read... really nice car! how many k's does it have on it???

you can get mudflaps from a mechanic!?! i'm so impressed... the most i can get is a confused stare...

Hi...

When i said mechanic, i meant a car shop...( sorry for my english...)

I didn´t replace the rubbers on the doors, they are not to bad so i´ll keep it as original as i can.

My car only have 36000km, about 22400 miles...lol.The engine was stuck but i did not opened it.I got it full of oil and petrol for a week and i was able to unstuck it.Jus had to put new points and it started running the first time i tried. The piston rings should be replaced because the engine oil starts to "disapear",i am getting parts to fix all engine.

About that you can use a translator, we have one or two international members, i think that you will all like what you will see.

Thanks
