I couldn't fully participate in the Evans Creek thing cuz I had to go and do the Rally X. I told you guys I'd been talking a lot of smack, and I needed to back it up.

1rst place Open Class in my little L impreza!!!!!!!! :brow:

Pulled a 1:48 out of my last lap.

Warned 'em. :D

Good job, show the guys that just bought the STi the day before that driver experience trumps car 7 days a week

Oh uh, there was an STI in my group.

Welcome to the club !!! Amazing how nice a two dollar trophy on the shelf can be :) Did mine with the wagon running 26.3" tires on ice. Haven't won more than a t-shirt since though :( Still having a blast doing it. Love beating out WRXs in Modified 4wd.

Wow, way to go man! That's cool showing them once again that it ain't how much you spend but how you pilot what you got.

27# seemed to be the right pressure. I could tell during the parade lap while it was all muddy that the tires were gonna hook up good. Goodyear Ultra Grips! They don't lie.

Did I mention there were 4 full on rally cars, including a WRX?

I didn't get the exact count, but I think there were roughly 25 drivers in open.

Unofficially, my 1:48 was the fastest time all day. :headbang:

Went there wanting to beat one guy. I could only come close back when I was still driving the RX. Never got better than 6th in open, that guy wins often in his severly weight reduced (not to mention he weighs about a buck 30 and doesn't let anybody ride with him) 2.5 RS with Rally tires. Got him all three laps judging by the look on his face when I told him my times after he smugly told me his best time was a 1:53.

I'm gonna bask in this, hoping it will rain for the next one so I can bring my hatch so I won't be expected to win again. :burnout:

Grinning.

hehe

Second place went to the other teal 4 door L impreza 2.2. He was a second ahead of me after 2 laps.

Nice work Zap. Yes, there was a white Sti, I think it was witte driving it? There was also a blue STi that ran in PGT (not legal to due adjusted engine displacement). He ran PGT at Hood River and was bumped to open. I'm sure they will bump him again, that means two Sti's in your class. If he does get bumped, that gives him a unfair time advantage given the course conditions. I doubt that it will affect the top finishers though.

Everybody else looked great on the couse:headbang:

Maybe we should start a USMB Rally Team USA?:brow:

Good job, I couldnt stick around, my roommates needed me to haul a loveseat back here in the Brat (its first mission ever)

I did get to see afew of your runs though, you were going nice and fast :D

I find it funny that people throw all sorts of money into fancy rally cars and a more or less stock impreza with good tires can beat em. Same with hood river... I ran open class there and the only subarus that beat me were RS's and a legacy, all the WRX's were behind my 5th place finish

How's that for 90 HP? :headbang:

Truck/SUV results:

1st Place: Luke E. 1981 BRAT

2nd Place: Eric Rachner 198? BRAT

3rd Place: Jason 1976 wagon

4th Place: Me

5th Place: Hooribly humiliated Durango owner
